If either side believed WI and PA were both solidly for Obama, why are both candidates making these states high-priority campaign stops in these final days? For example, if a state has multiple polls at the same time, Rasmussen always has higher numbers for Romney and Quinnipiac generally has higher numbers for Obama. I was pretty pessimistic about McCain at this point in 2008. I was "grasping" at the Bradley effect making a difference, but didn't realistically think it would make up the difference. Check out the difference at this point in the race today compared to 2008. The Independents usually jump pretty hard to the challenger so Romney will certainly get a bump there. Then if the R's exceed the turnout factored into the polls it could swing quite a bit. If the D's meet the turnout factored into the polls then it will be a lot closer. Time will tell. Wonder if there's any November Surprises lurking in the closet for this weekend? |
