McFuzz crashed somewhere on the 2nd loop of the bike but is now out on the run.  Son #4 said McFuzz told him his shoulder was sore and it would be a long, slow run.

I'm now watching the runners come across the line at the 11 hour mark, and I have to say my eyes are getting a bit moist too (but in a manly way ). To see these triathletes, those that have no sponsor, those that have full time jobs, those that have families that depend on them...they are truly Ironmen to me.

Mike's 1st run split has been up for awhile.  It was a 10:30 pace, so he's moving pretty decent for having a crash.  GO MIKE!

It's cold and rainy in Spokane, just 30 or so miles from CDA. Perfect running weather for some.
I'm taking my daughter and niece to watch the finish line right now. What an inspiration.
(I'll try to bump the guy in the red jacket.)

Go Colleen and Mason!! Go BT!

Weather.com says it's now 51 there- that's got to be brutal with the rain.  I was wondering about the guy who crossed the line a few minutes ago in the tights, gloves, and hat, now it makes sense.

I'm pretty sure that 1 of the top 3 in her AG already has a Kona slot... Way to go, Lilia!!

Plus everyone at the finish line are in windbreakers, long sleeves and there are a few umbrellas out there...

Talked with John on the phone and he said it's just a light drizzle and hopefully it will hold off

I keep thinking we are witnessing the last 10 seconds of these folk's year long journey!

Each one has a story....overcame personal opstacles that we will never know....think of how many miles of training are represented out there today.  2000 IM racers x maybe 2000 bike training miles each = 4 million biking miles!!

Hiya peeps...I have decided that Idaho is freakin cold-even in late June.  My fingers are frozen, so forgive typos.  Saw Tobin at 2pm in t2! I saw Pam in t2 not long after tobin.  Saw Collin (new bter) and then saw Doug. yay!  He looks great and is smiling-such a great sight to see him have a good race.  Keep your fingers crossed that he holds on through the run and finishes strong.

Haven't seen steve or mike since pre-swim...hoping to see them on the last part of the run.

Hot shower and then back out there.  Whooohooooo!

Edited because my brain is also frozen.  And in case no one has mentioned it, the bike course was SUPER windy.

53F right now with winds at 17mph, according to Weather.com. Brrrrrrrrr!

Of course all the locals are walking around in shorts, myself included. I was working Bike SAG and didn't see anyone I knew, that's a good thing.

All the athletes I talked to commented that the swim was choppy and the bike was cold.

I really missed out on the comments here on BT. Next year I'm bringing a laptop and aircard!

When I left at 5:30, Run SAG had just been told to bust out the Mylar jackets. The rain was starting in earnest about then, and I imagine they were welcomed by the athletes!

Pam's 2nd run split just in 2:28:44 at mile 21.75 she's holding at 11:48 pace- she should be finishing in the next 30 min or so... don't know how much of a delay there is...

I forgot to add that I talked to Pam's husband when she was at mile 13... she couldn't move her toes... hot spots... was really hobbling and was planning to hit the tylenol and another pair of toe socks at special needs...
