I don't know if I want to be on team DY!K ..I get called that enough at the office..and not in a good way...and look at the chycks trying to show us up already...putting their team list all alphabetical.....

Scott, who could blame you for not wanting to be on Team Dy!K? The ladies are, after all, a formidable bunch, we have a much cooler (yet PC) team name, and we have cuter team colors too! Plus, we are so with the "Girl Power!" program.

Use this month to tighten your abs (you're gonna wanna look studly for your avatar) and may I recommend that you use a triple bladed razor to shave with before you post your Speedo pic?

Dang! I have to get in on this! I want to set my goal for 20,000 meters. Is it too late? I did 2,000m in one shot last night... well on the way to seeing those suits!

What are the official terms/rules?  Seriously.  I wanna know what is involved BEFORE I agree to anything.  So, is it whichever team has the most distance?  Or which team meets their goal? I understand the "getting naked" part.

kimj81 -  I want in, but my boyfriend is PISSED that he has to take a pic of me in spandex so that I can post it on the internet. I'm guessing that would go double for me in a swimsuit. Only one 'close enough to nekkid' shot of me on this site please....

That is so weird...my wife is the one who gets pissed at me for posting nude shots of her on the internet...

I've always considered myself a lesbian trapped in a man's body.  LOL!

Personally though, I'm leaning towards "The Buoys".

That's funny, bc I feel like a 12 yr old boy trapped in a woman's body most of the time.

But I assure you, I am all woman, all CHYCK, and will not be sharing any photos, thank you, as I plan to win....

Okay, here's how I understand the terms we came up with...

-Everything you do during a swim workout counts...kick, paddles, fins...whatever you normally do as part of your training.  That's why you set a personal challenge to yourself...it has nothing to do with how your goal compares to anyone else.

-You have from Monday May 2 through (and including) Monday May 31 to log your workouts.

-The team competition is boys vs. girls and will be decided by which team collectively gets closest (or most over) their goal.  So add up all the individual goals and all the monthly totals for the girls, calculate the percent of the goal reached and compare to the boys.  This factors out lopsided numbers on each team as well as makes individual goals irrelevant to the team competition...all that matters is that you reach your personal goal and log 100% for the team.  I believe we also decided to toss the top and bottom from each team.  We haven't specified if that is the top and bottom distance or top and bottom % of goal...could be an important factor.

-The "loosers" will have to post a pic of themselves in their suits as their avatar for the month of June.  I also have an individual challenge to the ladies.  Since I know the men will win the team competetion, I figured I could still provide some motivation.  If any individual girl posts more swim volume than me for the month I'll post a personal suit shot.  Just be sure to take note that I log my workouts in meters.

-I'll update the webpage with the rosters and goals each Monday.

Put down another 15,000m for the guys. I guess this means I have to start logging my stuff here. I swam a mile non-stop for the first time this morning, so I've made a decent start.

I thought this was all swimming in the month of May. Lot's of ladies got a swim in on May 1st. Shouldn't that count?

We haven't specified if that is the top and bottom distance or top and bottom % of goal...could be an important factor.

The idea is that the single highest and lowest percentages on each team do not get included in the final tally to give a more representative sample.

Yeah, better to include May 1st, that way you don't have to subtract any swims on that day. BTW, swam 4k today, puts me at 6500/30000. Go boys!
