Just realized that my goal is too low because I didn't calculate in this coming week.  I'm upping it by 3 more stages and 2.7 more hours.

Stage 7 is complete, and happily was shorter than expected as I carried a 22.5mph avg for today's sprint tri!

Oh, this sux. I pulled a hamstring during softball on Saturday, so this is truly turning into a challenge. There may be a number of short rides in my future, at a not so high speed. ARGH!

3 stages knocked out over the weekend, one of them by the skin of its teeth

Stage 3 - 15:45 minutes - 4 miles (dropping car off at mechanic and rode home)
Stage 4 - 2:06:42 - 32 miles
Stage 5 - 1:30:33 - 26.6 miles

4 stages to go - we'll see

Whew... after not so many rides last week I knocked out 3 stages Saturday, Sunday and this morning to put me at just over 230 of 300 miles. I should make my goal since I am riding the 51 mile option of the Hot Hundred this saturday, along with minimum 25 mile rides both Tuesday and Thursday, then another mountain bike ride Wednesday. I'm hoping I have to up my mileage along with my number of stages.

Got in Stages 5, 6, & 7 over the past 3 nights of 4.38, 14.10, and 12

Stage 5 was shortened by a front brake issue, which when I figured out what it was made me feel really stupid when I figured out how easy it is to tighten.

I am at 93.75 with 3 stages left to get 56.25 miles to reach my goal. I may have to get in an extra stage to get there but I will.

Bonus stage tonight which I needed, not sure what availability I will have over the rest of the tour. Still hoping to hit both goals - bummer I had to miss a ride or two and shorten a couple of others.

Alright, Team Trek/Cannondale, we're ahead by more than 10% (according to the spreadsheet anyway).  Keep pushing through.  Only 6 more days 'til Paris.  We can do it!!!

21.6 miles as part of a FTP test.  My 5 min max effort was 312W, and my 20 min effort was 252W!

I was pretty happy with my performance.

2 more stages and 4.5 hours still to go. Given the state of my hamstring, this is going to be a big challenge.

I will get my stages in easy, the mileage is lagging. I hope to get a few longer rides in this week to get it done.

Being kind to the hamstring trumps meeting a challenge goal.

Almost there guys! Just a few more days to go. I clicked off another stage last night with a brutal group ride. Some of the A group (fast) guys have been showing up to our B group (not fast) rides, so a bunch of us crashed their party last night since our Tuesday ride got rained out. We were promptly spit out the back as soon as we hit the hills. I ended up riding much of the ride in TT mode. Fast and leg killer was not originally my plan since I have the 52 mile Hot Hundred Saturday, but I don't always make the best decisions when riding.

Push to the end everyone! Go Team Sky/Europcar!

Upped my goal to 13 stages and 370 miles.  I have a intermediate distance tri this weekend that has a 37.5 mile bike leg, and I'm riding 56 miles with some people on Sunday.

So I'll have my own time trial stage and an easier Champ de Elysees style finish for Sunday.

I finished stage 13 last night, upped my goal. I'm going to have to up my mileage as well since I'm at 284 of 300 and I have 52 tomorrow and probably a ride Sunday, not sure what distance.
Everyone PLEASE update your stages on the spreadsheet, it seems like some either aren't getting in their workouts, or aren't putting them on the spreadsheet. It only takes a minute.

About to head home and get in the first of my last three stage tonight.

I went in and added Austhokie's stage and hours to this point, since it showed 0.

"Fandom" in triathlon compared to other sports. If you're a sports fan and simply love to follow sport, why pick a sport that may offer a view of the start, the finish and a few moments in between?

The boat was being tossed around. Someone noted that there were whitecaps on the waves. Another guy said, “This is going to be challenging.” I began to wonder what he meant by 'challenging'.

Don’t forget this is an incredibly big year for sport with the Olympics back in Athens where the modern Olympics started, and especially triathlon to make its second appearance.
