Don't sweat it, the training you did in March will see you through. Just ease back in to it, don't rush back in and get injured. It's much better to get there under prepared than injured. Races are not won by the last 4 weeks worth of training, but the previous xx months of training. Hope you had a good time in Orlando. You've made me jealous.

Thanks Darren

Had a great time, everybody are so friendly and places so clean, not sure the bank manager will agree though but definitely will be going back to the states for my next holiday!

Now THAT is a beautiful turn-around point, thanks for sharing!  I always love seeing the places the manatees run and ride, it somehow makes it all the more relateable.

Sweet bike TJ!!

Go Janyne!!!

We're swamped here in Houston today, rain out for everyone so I'm home with the kids. We didn't flood last night but it looks like the water might be running out of places to go. It's not really raining right now and the water is higher on the street than anytime last night when we got 10+ inches of rain. Hope it doesn't keep dumping, but they say it's not going to stop until Friday. Ugh.

Her wave was supposed to start at 10:50 Boston time, which is 9:50 Chicago time, so she must have just started. (it's 10:15 in Chicago ===> 11:15 in Boston).
The first split will be posted at 5k. Do we know how fas she would do 5k? Of the Boston marathon...?

Darren - I have no splits yet, but I think she just started.

Mary - I don't have an album, but if you follow Melanie, Salty, TJ, Janyne, etc on Instagram, you get to see some really cool pictures! Because everyone needs more social media

I hope everyone is doing well, enjoy the week!!!

I am on my computer at work and used http://www.baa.org/individual.html and her bib number (23242). The avi's legs are moving (which I must say amuses me) but she remains as yet unmoved.

Go to the website and click athlete tracking.

The running aspect of an Ironman triathlon is a marathon. Most people take on a marathon as a single event and the training for this uses up a lot of their time. Here are some tips for the run.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
