Aw, c'mon Sparco...we've seen you in a wetsuit...we've seen you running...why not show us the legs! Wait, wait. I'm on your team and I don't want to lose since my backsides been on the board twice in the last 6 months. I guess I don't have much dignity left...but in any case, let's go Team BO! Run to win (not to avoid indignity)!!! Kristen edited to add: GOOD LUCK ON YOUR HALF MARY!!! Edited by enders_shadow 2007-10-11 4:19 PM |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread I think I might be jinxed.... Got to the gym to do the elliptical time this morning (oh joy) and I packed to shirts and no running tights SO... since Im on public transport and going an hour home just to get them isnt an option Im going to try and pick up a cheap pair at lunch to make up time.... then Im DONE for the week! On the knee... doesnt look like Im gonna be running in the next week or so BUT it was a positive report at the physio... knee stability has improved heaps and we are ruamping up the PT next week Which means my 'runs' will be the elliptical for a little while longer... Best of luck Sparco for your race this weekend!!! And Happy Running |

Expert 957 Reykjavik, Iceland | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread HI I just finished my 10k, I did 39:26 it is not a PB BUT it is a course record for me by almost 2 minutes It is a very hard course so I am very very happy about the result It was raining, it was windy and it was very dark (no street light for 7k), but it was quite warm +9°C so not too bad, but once winter hit this could get brutal. We race the same course once every month over the winter, and it can get interesting as they NEVER cancel a race, no matter how much snow and ice there are ! They just tell you to be careful |

Master 1397 Granvile, Ohio | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread Hey all! Just wanted to check in to let everyone know I have a huge work deadline coming up Monday and there is no way I'm going to be able to run. Don't anyone panic. I've got 38 minutes to make up for this week, which means I'll add an extra run next week. Sorry I won't be able to hang around to inspire (and harrass! ) but I promise after I get all these blankety-blank tax returns finished, I'll be back in the thick of things. Everyone have a great weekend! |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread Hey, happy teammates... I may have left a little bit of love on the other teams' threads...a little bit of bad luck here and there. If I'm not running, I might as well be breaking mirrors and spilling salt. Have a great weekend. Tomorrow I'm riding, but maybe Sunday I'll get a couple miles to get to 50% for the month. Kristen |

Master 1404 Atlanta, Ga | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread 69. some odd miles total... did 20 yesterday morning. Was a great run. Well over the 50 percent mark, but I need that cushion for the end of the month.. Another 35 this coming week (mon - sun), followed by another 25 to 30 puts me well over goal by the 4th weekend of October. The reason I need the cushion is that I start Marathon taper as of next weekends 20+ mile long run, so my milage drops off toward the end.. but I have managed the front half well enough to deliver my goals, and then some, to the team. Hope everyone else is doing well. Keep up the great work. If your not out enjoying a good run, then you are missing out on life. Fall in the NH, spring in the SH.. perfect! |

I have kinda slowed from the start I had at the beginning of the month....but don't worry. I am feeling so motivated right now! I may do another run tonight even!! Watching those guys at Kona yesterday was......well, very moving...very inspirational. That was totally awesome!! |

Expert 957 Reykjavik, Iceland | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread Hi team I got another long run in yesterday so I am well ahead of schedule. However I will be leaving for Germany and Denmark tomorrow, so next week I will not see any action before the weekend. But it is ok as I will still make my goal, no matter how much it rains I will get those last k´s in before the challenge finishes Keep running |

Have a great week. Uh...Tex, what's with posting a pic of your legs already...hope you're not resigning in defeat . EDIT: Ooh Tex, sorry to hear about the accident. Glad to hear you're o.k. Is the foot swelling from the accident? Take care of that, and good luck on your 15.5 this weekend! EDIT 2: Oh, and thanks for the well wishes for the half mary. Cindy did great. She wants to do another one (I have brought her to the dark side, heh...)... Edited by sparco 2007-10-15 9:46 PM |

I should have a few extra miles though if they count towards anyone else who comes up a little short. |
