Rynamite - 2008-09-20 7:48 PM Our limo driver just hooked us up with sold out kid rock and rehab tickets. I can't even imagine how much  why my boss paid for them bought them.

Fixed for you.

I guess Rehab could be cool to see...but kidrock?

dropping by while watching the youngest... and we just put up his big boy bed... he's thrilled.

Headed off to Gettysburg tonight. I have a meeting there tomorrow at the seminary.

A late night is up for me, PLUS I would like to run ten miles tomorrow while there.  We'll see...

Evening TAN!  Just a drive-by to say that I wish I had one of those right now while watching the football game.

I had some Oktoberfest beer last night on tap while out with my wife to watch my friends that play acoustic classic rock.  The beer had a slight bitterness to it, unlike some other Oktoberfest that I have had.

G'nite.

That sounds good.  Wish I could have put my workout in this morning to be able to drink a beer today.  Was it the tall guy (Matt?) that made Team USA, or was that at another race?  Thanks for including me with your club, I had a good time, even if I didn't really get to race.

It was another kid (Nationals was this weekend as well).  I got an email when I got home.  Another girl from the club that graduated in May also made the team.  I realize that I'm slow, but I'm starting to realize just how freakin' fast these kids are.  I really won't be surprised if more of them qualify for Nationals next year.  Like the girl who got first in the collegiate division on a hybrid.

I couldn't figure that out.  She was walking out of transition when I was going to the car and I told her that they were calling her name for awards and she didn't seem excited at all.  She won her freaking division, and placed in her AG (right?) that's an awesome day.

I think it was post-race haze. She seemed really excited about it when we got back to Ames. I think it took time to sink in. Btw, your T1 time was 2:23 - the results are up on the JMS site, but not the Trihawks site. I think it's kind of annoying that the distances are wrong; all of the times are correct so you still have the same rank, but the paces are crap. I mean, the 15 mile marker was in between the first hill and the damn. But the bike times are based on 15 miles. Eh. The run was also 3.2. I had a crappy swim and run, but the upside was that I didn't have the worst bike in my age group OR the collegiate division and I beat out quite a few people overall. For me, that's quite an accomplishment.

eta: Ridiculous amount of drafting on the bike.  I mean I saw people riding and talking two abreast.  I think some people didn't know the rules and others didn't care.

Wow, that doesn't seem like a very good T1.  Glad she ended up happy with her race.  She did a really good job, and JD was talking about all the penalties they should have had out there today, but that were no USAT officials.  It's a shame.  I still don't think I'll do that race again.
