Hi TAN!

It's Tuesday and I'm waiting for blinds to be delivered as well as trying to figure out how to get replacement parts for an Ikea bookshelf that the movers kinda mangled.  Why the heck doesn't Ikea sell replacement parts??? That just seems dumb.  And annoying.

Hello, my brilliant beautiful beloved be-moved bookcase-broken Tangerines ... {TANGEMELONS PRESSES}

When I did moving shipment of furniture, the only thing that got mangled was my two bookcases. I think they forget that they are "hollow" in between the shelves and pack heavy boxes on top and around the cases.

I have never gotten replacement parts from Ikea but that seems like it would be a PITA.

I just got off the phone with Ikea and apparently they don't offer replacement parts at all.  All they offer are these little grab bags of miscellaneous parts and you have to just hope and pray that the parts you need are somewhere in there.  Massive PITA.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

What kind of part do you need?

The little wooden pegs/dowels that help hold pieces together and apparently are all different shapes and sizes depending on what piece of furniture you're putting together.  PITA!

Hi my wonderful and amazingly gorgeous inside and out Yantilicious!!!  {{TANGEMELON PRESSES}}

I honestly don't understand how a company can create furniture with specific parts and then not provide replacement parts for those specific pieces.  It's just a tad frustrating!

Oh well, I'm off to read your race report book now

Well if you really need it just measure the size of the hole and you can get dowels at the hardware store and you can just cut to the length you need.

I finished my race report last night from finishing 46 seconds behind the woman who took 3rd in my AG - which was really cool.  My first race in almost a year and almost a spot on the podium!

Teejaay - 2012-06-26 8:25 AM I know nothing of these "whitepants" you speak of.  I only know that I hate white pants on me.

Any rain down there?  We got a few clouds but nothing even close to rain.  I was seriously disappointed.

Nope! BUT we almost did .. I guess the ground temp was too hot and did not allow the clouds to dump .. they were black and ominous and scary though.  I watched an entire hour long program hosted by the local meteorologists on our monsoon season and how and why they develop.  Clearly I have a lot of time on my hands!

But think of the knowledge base you'll have?  I venture to say you could develop into a desert meteorologist in almost no time.

And I had another White Mocha this morning..with whip cream

I have never gotten replacement parts from Ikea but that seems like it would be a PITA.

I just got off the phone with Ikea and apparently they don't offer replacement parts at all.  All they offer are these little grab bags of miscellaneous parts and you have to just hope and pray that the parts you need are somewhere in there.  Massive PITA.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Late to the game, but... my local Ikea has a whole wall of parts bins at the return counter. They are labeled by part number and there are catalogs available to look up various items to help identify the right parts. I was very impressed.

Okay, 100 pics. I can't get it to any less. Not without leaving out critical piglets, puppies, hot chicks, oh, and even some race pics.

I'm keeping a running tally today of how many times my boss pops his head in my office. Any wagers?

How much does your boss do this?

Never. My boss works in another state.

I'll take a swag at the number of head pops from your boss but need some info first; what are you wearing?
