Yanti is in the midst of training for IM Japan and has been named the coach for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, and has fallen head over heels for one of the athletes.   So, you know - it's her usual crazy life.

But... but, that's no excuse for her to forgets ussssss!!!!!!!!!

I refuse to click on Political Joe, for the most part.  I think that I've made one, maybe two posts in there since its inception.

My tri club has a page on Facebook... I just got done reading a 40+ response thread on there of people going off about whether or not you should wear a wetsuit for training swims, and how the guy leading the club's ows sessions won't "allow" them, etc... ya know, in a public lake at a State park.

I feel dumber for having read it. Humans are Stupid.

At least I have the Dead Milkmen in my ears.... "Bitchin' Camaro", etc...

Why won't he allow them? Is he a swimming `purist?'

A lady walks into a dry cleaner and drops off a black dress.
As she is walking out, the worker says "come again"
The lady whips around and says "No....it's toothpaste this time"

You could go argue in Political Joe. That's always fun. Instead, you could just donkey punch yourself over and over.

It'd have the same effect.

Yup, he's one of "them", to an extreme.  Constantly calling them life preservers, and people that use them aren't "real" triathletes, they're [plural nickname for house cats].

I would show up with a wetsuit on and when he told me I couldn't swim in it, I'd ask him if he was going to stop me from getting into a public lake over which he has no control.

Why does he care? Not everybody is a great swimmer. Some people need the extra buoyancy or want the extra speed through the water.

That's kinda along the lines of my response, as was clearly stating that I felt dumber for having read their diatribe.  I agree that everyone should be able to swim race-distance without a suit (especially at the longer distances), but their hatred of wetsuits bordered on the fanatical.  It seriously makes me wonder how & why they're in a tri club.... I don't think they understand that the purpose of the sport is to go fast and that there are no badges or bonus points for not using a wetsuit.

Why don't you just wear arm floaties and bring a snorkel too.

Wet suits are for the weak.

Hi TAN.

Had the day off yesterday.  Took the kids to doctors, dentists and eye exams and me to the back doctor.

We all got a 100% clean bill of health.  Including I can go back to all normal activities with NO restrictions even CMS (Crazy monkey sex).

So a great monday for me -winning at life!  In addition, I swam in the lake for the first time since Sept of 2011.  It been a long, long time but loved it!

Well you can just use your trunk like a snorkel. Normal people can't.
