AWESOME!!! Thanks for posting, Suzy. I haven't been able to get any results. I did hear from Kim and she sounded pretty darn stoked with her time, as she should be!! Any news on Jarrett, Trevor, or Michelle? |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Jarrett in a 2:52!!!! Michelle and Trevor are very close to each other....Trevor predicted in around 4:54 and Michelle 5:02, but it's still very early in their journey....we're off to the symphony so someone else is going to have to be the eyes and ears!!! |

Finally figured out the tracking. Trevor was 2:34 at the half. Predicted/estimated finish time is 4:59. Michelle was 2:35 at the half, current estimated finish is 5:08. Heard from Kim. She is showered and off to cheer for Trevor and Michelle. Fun stuff!! |

Great job John, Kim and Jarrett! LOL, from that picture it looks like John could be the same height as Kim if he was standing on his knees. Kim are you shorter than Suzy? |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() It was all good. Chilly, windy, but a good run. Finished at 2:18, so I now have a benchmark to improve on. The bridge was a challenge, especially on the first ascent as it was into the wind....fun times! Mile 12 was a mental and physical low point....my hams and knees were screaming at me...my mind was saying take a walk, you are going to missed you 2:15 goal anyway...so, well, I walked for 1 minute twice between mile 12 and 13. But I turned the last corner for the final half mile and amazingly my feet started moving faster and faster. Of course, it helped that my saw my wife and daughter in the distance standing by waiting to see me finish. So, I finished strong. Just 3 minutes off my personal goal. Who knows if I had not taken those two walks.... The first one is behind me.....the next one in January is very flat course, so looking forward to seeing what I can do on that course. |

Way to finish strong, and you can find those 3 minutes the next go-around!! Nah, that walking didn't keep you from your 2:15. Jeff Galloway says that if you walk briskly 1:00 every mile, you are only losing 15-20 seconds per mile. So maybe you lost 30 seconds, but probably not much more! Awesome for you!!! |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Woooooot hooo! Finished my first HALF! Man I'm SOOOOORE! :-) Good pain though, only inside the legs, and perfectly fine everywhere else! :-) Finished under my expected time. I expected to finish 3:30 and that was being conservative. Then I was hoping to finish just a little after 3:00 because I haven't really trained well in a while, and longest distance I did was 8 miles. FINISHED UNDER 3:00! REALLY cannot beat that, especially for me!! Best part was, I was able to run about 5 miles STRAIGHT WITHOUT STOPPING! Totally felt awesome!! Had to take a few walking breaks, but lordy lord, it hurt MORE when I walked than when I ran. :-) Looking at my watch when I was at MGM, and I had a mile left to go. Ball of my foot was killing me, the inside of my quads were angry, and I mustered up some energy to run just a little faster so I can be under 3:00. It totally made my day!!! 2:53:18. No I'm not fast, but I don't care! I just felt great throughout the day, and I had loads of fun. Sorry I didn't see anyone from the MG...apparently lack of communication between us. I thought Suzy was going to be there, and I neglected the MG for a while. My bad. :-( Pictures will come soon and so will the RR. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Great job to all the MG racers and their spouses!! Bask in a job well done. I'm off for three days of work travel, but will try to catch RRs and gossip as time permits. Have a great few days! |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Congratulations to all our fantastic runners!! I am very proud of everyone. As Linda mentioned it snowed in NC! It was only suppose to be light flurries so my hubby convinced me to go for a ride. There was nothing slight about it! My glasses would fog up so bad I couldn't see but when I took them off the freezing rain/snow would fly directly in my eyes! I needed ski goggles. The photo doesn't do it justice but I have snow stuck on my helmet and bike and my feet were soaking and freezing. But best of all, you can see what the dog thinks of our going out without him!! Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Thanks everyone for the kudos and support! I thought of all of you when crossing each timing mat! It has been so great meeting John and Trevor, Jarrett and Michelle, Kelly and I even met Chet at the finish line. Yes, John is just the same in person as online! Trevor talks in that red font alot! Kelly can eat! (and is super nice), i will try to upload a pic of her lunch yesterday at the hash house a gogo! All of our meals were similarly ginormous, though ![]() |

I always enjoy trail riding this time of year in WI. However, we usually use take the Mountain Bikes and leave the roadie on the trainer! For example a couple of peeps from the team this weekend....
