Well I like my current job. The place is a bit of a mess, Management is a  bit weak. A Lot of problems to solve and It is easy for me to make an impact and look good. I have so far.

But it is a dead end. No where to go in the company.

I just had two interviews and now a third on deck for a new company 5 mins from home and they are roughly estimating 18% more Pay based on low end of scale they gave me plus a pension (don't have one at current company)

Larger facility might be harder to be a superstar there. Leaving an ops manager role to go back to a process eng role.

I have only been here for 5 months.

Closer to home, more money, better benefits, larger facility may mean more room for advancement. Seems like a good deal to me.

I kind of agree. I think that this meeting will have an offer put forth or shortly after. There is lack of technical people in my area so companies seem to be fighting over a few of us that are out there. Complete change from 5 years ago.

But I hate jumping ship on people. 19 years in industry I have now worked for 4 companies. 18.5 years I worked for 3. Only left 2 because they were closing.

would be the first time I kind of short changed a bunch of people... But I have to look out for me right... plus I could ride my bike to work...

not sure why I am stressing about it. every time I put it on paper it seems simple..

I guess I should just shut up. I don't even have an offer. But 1 phone interview and 2 in person interviews over the last 2 days and meeting corp HR manager on Monday.

Given your work history it's easy to see why you are stressing. I tend to stay for a long time at each stop along the career path too, and it's hard to leave something that's pretty good, but the only way to get the greater good is to let go of the current good.

I made a move after 15 years at the same company almost a year ago.  It was a tough decision but it turned out to be the best thing I could have done.

GAH! I mailed my camera to the shop for repair in FEBRUARY. They lost it, and are supposed to be sending a new one. THEY STILL HAVE NOT MAILED IT. I'm frustrated.

Woah, that sucks.  What kind of camera?

We settled on hiking tonight regardless of weather with burgers out afterwards.  Think I'm still going to take some wine anyway.

Well that sucks royally.

I hope you get a new one soon. Customer service now a days seems to suck everywhere. That or I just have too high of expectations for people to follow through with simple things.

Just wine.  I've got 12 weeks til the mary and need to get serious about dropping to race weight if I really want to have a shot of hitting my goal finish time.  Unfortunately, that means it's time to really start cutting out alcohol

I made an event in my work calendar that repeats daily. I will call them every single day until they sort it out.

You don't, it does. It bugs the carp out of me. I got miffed at McDonalds one day because of horrible service and my co-worker turned to me and said, "What do you expect? It's McDonalds." Too many pople have this sort of attitude. I worked at McDonalds when I was young. I expect to be given the same level of service I gave my customers.

and get off my lawn!

Panasonic repair is the worst! I had a DVD player (back when they cost real money) die and they took forever getting it back. It wasn't fixed correctly either; wouldn't chapter. A TV blew the motherboard 2 weeks after buying it and it took a month for the shop to get one. They wouldn't let me return the TV either.

I'll not buy another Panasonic product again. Samsung and Sony from now on.

It's an independent camera shop I'm dealing with - not Panasonic.
