I guess we know who all the blabber mouths are in the MG.  With the Rev 3 folks traveling, things are pretty quiet here.

No racing for me this weekend.  I will be cheering with the kids while Kris runs.  Might work out OK since it is supposed to be rainy on Sunday.

Good luck racers.  Hope everyone is surviving Friday the 13th!

We made it too!  Sam isn't lying, it is so humid my hair is almost as wide as I am tallYell!!!!!   Thought there might be chaos getting through registration like Lonestar.  It took two minutes.  Heard there are only 1100 total participants and most of them are doing the Oly....

BIB#968 for me.

Huge fountain behind the start/finish area and big playground there, kids and I were there for 2 hrs while sam ran, had a great time.

Plus the kids adventure race is tomorrow around noon I think.

Thunderstorms here this afternoon, didn't get my bike in but was able to get a run in.

I always like big races just to lessen the chances that I may come last!!!

I have a finishers cert on my office wall from the City 2 Surf race in Sydney showing that I came in at 14,710 place, the great thing is that that was out of 85,000 - safety in numbers...

Have a great race, I'm sure you'll do well whatever the numbers, might come first???

Sounds like Dino already has a story to share. Looking forward to it!!

I'm in SUNNY Coeur d'Alene, about to head off to the pool for a 4K swim, then a hilly 5-ish hour ride, then a t-run. Forcast today is for a high of 78 degrees. Us water-logged Seattle folk are anxious to see what that feels like, and we all hope we don't die of heat stroke, ha!!! BRING IT!

TGIF!! (It is Friday, right? When I don't have my kids to schedule I totally lose track of the days!)

Just been looking up Coeur dÁlene on google, looks beautiful, the tri looks fun too.

Also, had a look at your profile pictures, is that a Flat Coated Retriever? My parents had one who died recently, he was such a great dog!

YES!!! Don't get me started... I can talk about Trip all day (my 3rd child). And yes, he's a Flat-Coat, my 3rd. Awesome breed and of course he is the bomb. I'm so very sorry your parents lost theirs recently.

It *is* beautiful here in Coeur d'Alene!! Made more so by the sunshine and blue skies today. Temps in the mid 70's. We had an awesome day of training -- a great pool swim, then bagel/egg/avocado sandos before we headed out on a 70-mile ride with bonus hills and fairly strong winds. 60-minute T run. Home to a recovery smoothie waiting in the fridge. Ice bath in the 42-degree lake (a block from our house). Chicken enchaladas for dinner. Brownies for dessert. Good conversations with new-found BFFs. IT'S ALL GOOD!!! WOOT!!

Tomorrow we swim (pool) then ride the full course (minus a little bit in town), for about 108 miles. Optional T-run (I will likely opt OUT).

Good luck to Kris in the 5K. Send those REV3 updates. I wanna see a picture of Suzy's big hair!!

So, here's a question.  How do you guys deal with the rain when you are riding?  I had a 55 miler today but it was raining so hard I couldn't see.  I hopped on a SAG because I just didn't feel safe.  How do you all do it?

Wow, you are so hardcore, Rachel.  Honestly, there are LOTS of times I just do my ride on the trainer even if the weather is just so-so.  That's me, though, I don't mind the trainer at all, I know I get a good workout in and I'm safe.  I did my 60 miler on my trainer on Monday and it was actually sunny out.  I know.  Lame!

Were you wearing eye protection?  I always wear my Oakley half jackets, even when it's overcast or cloudy, as eye protection...but if it's just buckets, I say you did the right thing!

Rachel, I am not a confident rider on wet roads. If it is pouring rain, I won't ride. I'd rather be safe.

Hi Ho Peeps..here's my ramble....

Finally hit the hotel after walking around all day (bad, right?)....had lunch with the whole Davis clan and it was nice to catch up on their lives.  Even though it's going to be 1000F in TX next week, I know Fatty is ready.  Looks awesome, swims really well.  Envious!  Ever so briefly met Julia and Tracy...Master Transporter Dino gave me my bike so it's dropped off, need to mix magic potions before heading over to S&T's for dinner....oh it's hot, ask one person and it is going to storm tomorow and another will tell you bright sunshine....who knows.  Either way, we'll get it done!

Me!

I was wearing Oakleys.  I guess I am just bummed b/c I bailed and I am not a quitter by nature so doing so rubs me the wrong way.
