It was kind of neat...They had some bud 'live' spots during the game. Hada couple of bud girls chatting and the hockey players and their families were all at this party. They chatted with a few of them. Pretty unique. I didn't realize that it was only up here....But i guess they know the audience... Maybe down in John's neck of the woods, they could have had a mob show up to cheer on a bunch of guys gutting a pig or something like that. HA HA HA, made me laugh : ) |

I had a good weekend: I ran 3 days in a row, and my run on Sunday was exceptionally good. I had a guy (ultra marathoner) show me some trails not too far away that have some challenging hills. It was just so cool that he would take the time to run with me. He's done 6-50 mi. races and two of those were back to back on a Sat/Sun!! Oh, and the weather was STELLAR!! 57 degrees and sunny! Woot Woot!! |

Master 2501![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: SWBKRUN -CLOSED DUE TO TRAININGSSMinnow - 2012-02-06 7:35 AM Happy Monday Morning! I'm nearly back to 100% after my food poisoning stint with thai chili shrimp. Lost a day and a half in the process and probably a pound or two, but feel fairly decent today. I'll spare you ther rest of the details. Fatty--how did your race go? Tony/Sam--who won the over/unders? Kyla--describe those donuts! To Chet and David--a big "WAY TO GO"! We're off for a low key day (not that yesterday wasn't really low key!) to Hannalei Bay (think Puff the Magic Dragon) to laze at the beach and have lunch. Mmmmmm. Donuts. I practice what I preach: Everything in moderation and it's all about balance. If Dave is out of town on a weekend, the tradition with the kids is that we go out for donuts on Sunday morning. I always get an apple fritter -- I am a sucker for an apple fritter. Kids are down with the Bavarian cream -- a big ole' hunkin' donut loaded inside with the Bavarian cream, and chocolate frosting on top. I always try to get 'em to drink a small smoothie before we go, ha!! And after I eat my apple fritter, it sits like a log in my stomach and feels disgusting. But next time Dave is away on a weekend, I'll eat another one!!! Glad you are feeling better, Suzy!!! |

Not for one stroke. And it really pissed me off. The second year, I did feel like I found some open water. I don't know what I did differently, as I logged about the exact same time each year. The biggest clusters were at the buoys, so I think the 2nd year I tried to take those more wide, as I'd rather swim more than battle flailing arms and bodies. But I'd say that you should be mentally prepared for full contact the entire swim. Linda (velcromom) did CDA in 2010 also, so she may have some feedback on that as well... |

It did take me 6 months of being off running to completely heal a 4th met stress fracture a couple of years ago. Be patient, it will come back. Curious how the doc can tell that the bone isn't completely healed from an x-ray? big white spot? Dan--avoid the Shrimp Station in Kaapa. It is their second restaurant and new this year. There must have been on bad one in the bunch because Paul ate some of the same dish and was totally fine. I can tell you I will NEVER eat shrimp again. Fatty-glad to hear your race was fun! FWIW, I was not intending to censor what people put in this MG. I am perfectly happy that people want to share these pics.
