well I have to be at work super early tomorrow (blah!) then I'm going to see some friends for the weekend. Hopefully I'll get in a little biking/running, but next week is a scheduled rest week so its not the end of the world if that starts a little early. But I'll definitely get myself to 100% for the challenge!

kcarroll - 2009-06-26 1:00 AM That is one sweet looking bike!!!!!  If I couldn't ride, I'd just put it somewhere that I could look at it constantly.

Me too! I would probably put it in my living room.

Morning everyone!  Did 4 miles this morning.  Will probably end up running/walking a 5k this afternoon when I set up the run course.  Between those two, I'll be on track to make my goal.

I did OWS with about 10 other BTers and then did a 4 mile run with two of them.

I'm not sure if I'll make 100% but I should be at least around 98%

Went for a ride this morning with a friend who is a bit slower than me (how is that even possible?)so rather than not push,  I usually wait for her a couple times along the route. At one point I'd been waiting quite a bit longer than normal, so thought I'd check my mobile to see if she'd gotten into trouble.  I keep the phone in the bag under the seat and couldn't reach while straddling the top tube.  As I was swinging my leg over the back of the bike, I caught the seat and went a$$ over teakettle onto the pavement in the middle of the road.  Fortunately not much car traffic on this particular road, but lots of "other" traffic early on Saturday mornings.  You guessed it, the LBS Club Ride (read all guys, all fast and matching jerseys) is cresting the hill.   All 30+ of them.  Totally humiliating.  Nothing bruised but my ego.

Well I got out this morning.  It's a bit cooler than it has been...but I went out at like 11 - not the coolest, but definitely not the hottest time of the day.  I was able to get myself to jog 30 minutes.  I realize my legs are losing strength cuz I haven't done much in the past few days...It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow and even cooler on Monday - hopefully I can get some longer runs in - cuz I have a race in 2 weeks... YIKES!!  It'd be nice to be able to get a 5K run in before it...

Me..chugging along... Undecided

It is supposed to be 102 today.  I got out at 8:30 and biked for three hours.  I got tons of hills in.

I am tracking for 100%.  I need 78 minutes and have 90 on the schedule.   It will be close--but should happen.

If you were hurt, it would not be a funny story. Glad that you are ok.  You're not the first person and certainly not the last.  I feel like we've all been there.

I ended up running/walking about 4 miles today when I was doing setup for the triathlon tomorrow.  I'm logging that.  A little under three miles to go and that will be done during my planned run on Tuesday.

And it's a CLOSE race to the finish line!!!!

2nd place - June Bugs - 84.00%
3rd place - Team Trifecta - 83.96%

There are only THREE DAYS LEFT IN THE CHALLENGE! (Including today.)

Hey Kim,

Did you ever contact Dee about an injury reduction to your goal? It would help out the team total.
