Aikidoman - 2008-05-12 11:58 AM Back at the office - window fixed. I'm content again (more or less)

So, what was wrong with it?

They said the power window "regulator" failed.  I'm not exactly sure what that is.  But if I were to take an edjucated guess, the window "felt" that something was in the way of the window closeing and would reverse it (when there obviously wasn't)  I would hear the motor try to raise it, but then back down.

Maybe the regulator "regulates" the amount of force to apply to the window and it messed up?

Regardless, it's fixed and now I don't have to stress about leaving my car wide open to everyone in Las Vegas.....

DUDE!  That stuff scares the crap out of me.  Glad to hear your all in one piece more or less.

So what happened?  Did your budy go down from a fright or did the truck do something wrong?  Who's fault was it if anyone's?

Not too bad.  I see the ortho this evening.  I guess he'll tell me how long before I can ride again.

I never get used to that kind of stuff.  Either on my bike or motorcycle.  When I see a car "cheat" (rolling stop) or look like they are not going to stop or cut in front of me.  My stomach almost climbs out of my throat every time.....

It was scary but the motor vehicle wasn't at fault.  In fact the driver should be commended for managing not to run us over.

I thought a woman was going to hit my daughters over the weekend.  We were walking through a 4-way stop, she was turning left, we were very visible, and she almost proceeded without seeing us (I had one in the Burley and one on a bike).  I yelled "Hey" as loud as I could, but it was still too close for my comfort.
