Seattle | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) I find it a little frustrating that we are like 12 weeks out from AG nationals and there isn't ANYTHING posted about the course. I mean, you can make some assumptions about the terrain, given the city it's in but that is it. Shoot, our crappy little sprint tris have info posted a year out. |

Master 6595 Rio Rancho, NM | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) That was kinda my though about the mtb pedals. Need to loosen them up some and just get more comfortable with the terrain in general. I could sense myself learning as I tried new things and was (or wasn't) successful. I'll get there. After about the third biff I was ready to quit, but that's just not my style. So I got back on and kept at it. Had a great time on the zip lines! Def a must do in Moab! We were with a family from Sydney.. Now the voice in my head has an Aussie accent :-D (image.jpg) Attachments ---------------- image.jpg (135KB - 17 downloads) |

Master 3870 | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) Sigh. I just emailed the race director because TONS of splits are still missing from Sunday morning. Our overall times are in, but there are mistakes (like one guy ran the "5k" in 6:45) which throw everything off. Lots of people only have their bike time. Frustrating when you spend $100+. Anyone else have this kind of issue with a race company? Only being my 3rd tri, is this a more common issue than I would think? |

Anyone else have this kind of issue with a race company? Only being my 3rd tri, is this a more common issue than I would think? I had an issue with the timing company for the marathon that I did in February. They got it straight. It was an issue with my timing device (a foam thing on the race number), not an issue with what sounds like a lot of racers. |

Finally managed to find a pic of me from Sunday. Didn't recognise myself. Gonna have to wear a Judi/Jen Tutu on the next one. I cannot believe what an addiction it is - I'm a chocoholic so for me this is major. For three days I've felt like i had the flu, headache chills etc. Craved some chocolate or lemonade to make it go away. But two days after I feel great. I've started back on fruit, just berries at the moment and they taste so sweet like they are artificial! It's bizarre! |
