Yes, your chip only starts when you cross the timing mat to enter the swim.

Oh, and 11:00:00 gets you 71st place. In contrast, Wisconsin 2007 11:00:xx would have put you in 218th place, and at CDA this year you would have enjoyed 246th place. Yes, the fields are a bit stronger there, but not THAT strong. That says a lot about today.

Yes, but still, there have been some brutal days at other races over the last 2 years but this is...odd.

Couple more updates....Kenny broke a pad on his aerobars and couldn't get aero for the bike, until he just decided to dig his arm into the flange sticking out for the 2nd lap. Problem solved!!! He dropped his salt tabs too. He's mid-run, grinding through it.

David Barron is mid-run, too...good spirits, doing a little run-walk, but has already started his 2nd loop. He's muscling through that last, tough stretch.

Cube is still moving...just got off the phone with them at mile 12 and a bit....don't know the specific issues, but apparently Shaun's improving as he goes...so no worries about him finishing. And most importantly, he isn't all medical on us.

Hey, keep your eye out for Terry Wyatt, #1800. He's within a mile of finishing, most likely (gotta do math to confirm) the first BT'er across the line. Nice work on a brutal day.
