Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() scoobysdad - 2013-03-20 9:25 PM So what is it with Corinne's preference for "playing with a gay"? That was beyond odd.
I thought the same thing. Not just that she said it but said it many times. Mike seems like a cool guy but that's just weird. I think this is the first episode where I get why people don't like Corrine, even though she has a rockin' body.
I hate that Matt got voted out. I was pulling for him. Sherri's days seem to be numbered if things stay as they are on the orange tribe she seems to be the odd man out.
When they started showing Julia I didn't know who she was. Perhaps the most boring player on this season or any season so far. I seriously didn't know she was on the show. Doesn't seem to be playing the game just coasting by.
Philip is really taking this stealthrus thing a little far. It's getting embarrassing. I know it's his thing but c'mon. |

Completely agree. Bad move.
Did you see the previews for next week? Made me think the good looking kid (favorite) from orange will get blindsided next week....
I think it was probably a good move. A couple/team like that can find the right crack and go far ruining your plan. However, Julia is useless in challenges and they still have a few left as a tribe.
It looked like Reynold was teaming up with Malcom to me from the previews so maybe it's a ruse to blindside Reynold. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Corinne and the "love the gays" bit really rubbed me the wrong way. Something like that is a way to get "the gay" annoyed with you and it's super tacky. And the repetition put it over the top! She is really dense. I see why they got rid of that guy, but I am bummed. I just liked him. But they have to get rid of Julia next, and I would be VERY surprised if they didn't keep losing. I have been thinking for weeks that Sherri made a big mistake in being so steadfast and vocal about her alliances and enemies. It was too soon to be that bold. And the winners were never that obvious about it. She's in trouble. |

Seriously..."Your test will be that someone from my alliance will tell you what to do and you do it." Um...ooooooookay.... I could barely stomach it to that point, but that was completely over the top. Each day he lasts and his Stealth R US lingers, he will think he is in more and more control and make more comments like that. He's delusional. PLUS, he keeps adding to it! Is it up to 6 yet? An alliance of 8 when there are 10 people left doesn't do much... I'm not alone with the "gay" thing it seems. I understand what she meant and means nothing by it. But those are the kinds of things you say with your gay friends because they know you. I have dozens of gay friends (through my wife's occupation) and can joke around and say "you gays this or you gays that"... But I think I would be a little more PC if I was in public, especially TV. It would be interesting the get a gay/lesbian to comment on it though. Maybe I'm too worried about what they would think, and it's not big deal? I have to give kudos to Survivor editing. They FINALLY kept me guessing on who was going to get voted off. The teaser for last night's show made me think it was Corrin or Phillip. But Matt getting voted out was a complete surprise. I thought it was Julia up to when it wasn't.r |

I can remember at least four. Including "I would betray my whole alliance to play with..." well, you know.
I get it Corinne, you like gays... |

I get it Corinne, you like gays... I'd like to know what character trait she thinks that all have that make them good to play with...I mean, no one wants to play against the hot straight guys because they run away with challenges and are generally likeable. Same for hot straight chicks generally. What is it about gays makes them someone she wants to play the game with? Just curious... |

I wouldn't have wanted to play with Colton... not because he's gay but because he's a jerk.
Same with Richard Hatch
I'm trying to remember someone else who was openly gay on the show... maybe I just remember villains

I don't remember probably because it's not that big of a deal. HOWEVER, I seem to remember playing a game during the pilot episode of each season of "who is the gay person". They seemed to have a set formula for their casting. Certain amount of each race, age, sex, social class. Maybe they tried to get a reasonable cross section of the population? |

Plus, to just say "I love the (insert race/sex/sexual orientation/etc.)" is ridiculous. There are good, bad and in-betweens in every group...okay, that may not be true, I do love the SI Swimsuit Models, period. btw, thanks to Malcolm for reminding me why I wasn't a fan of his last season. Arrogance doesn't look so good. Philip is pretty dang smart. His stealth nonsense should assure him a spot near the top. Sure, he won't win...but that doesn't matter. I'd take a guaranteed smaller prize compared to a shot at the big prize any day. |

I guess I'm missing where Malcom is being arrogant.
Was it they lying to the ladies comment? Something tells me he's a ladies man. Maybe that's why Corrine doesn't want to play with him |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() jldicarlo - 2013-03-20 9:22 PM Love tribe swaps. But it stinks that the favorites have the advantage on both tribes...could make it dull. I saw immediately that orange was going to have the physical advantage. Love that both idol holders are keeping their mouths shut. I think Phillip is heading for another final 3...no one likes him but they can tolerate him enough to let him hang out! He's kinda crazy! Corinne's "baby on a plane with diarrhea" was awesome too. I don't think purple made the right call...the girl is a lot less useful in challenges and it isn't like tattoo guy would be a huge threat after the merge either.... They were dumb. She (Julia?) needed to go. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Honestly a boring episode. I have no idea how they are putting up with Phillip.... At least there is a merge next week...we won't have to keep seeing orange domination. Of course, they were hardly with these new tribes at all and definitely not enough to really shift alliances. The swap needs to happen earlier... |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I agree...Pretty boring episode. Im still trying to figure out if Phillip is really smart, really stupid, really arrogant or just looking to cash in on his quirkiness. Either way the editing sure makes him look like the power player of the tribe:/ He may come in third place but def would never win with his strategy. |

Can't even stand to watch Phillip and I felt this way about him the last time he was on the show. I would have been so frustrated in that bags of sand challenge with him taking on the roll as the strong man then telling everyone he couldn't run the whole time. The constant boasting then excuses, bullying of Corrine (who I don't really care for either but he treats her like garbage), just yuck. Nothing would bring me more satisfaction on this show than seeing him get blindsided. Cochran's interviews made me chuckle - Vanilla girl, funny. But your right, the challenges were pretty boring - no challenge about it. Looks like they have to eat gross stuff next week - I would stink at that. I gag cleaning out my refrigerator! |

Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Best part was when Philip was explaining to Cochran that he was throwing the challenge and the look on Cochran's face trying to hold back the laughter was priceless.
Julia just didn't have any game at all. Philips strategy of staging himself at the front was foolish. Corrine is hot and surprisingly strong.
Malcom makes a good point about the 4 athletic guys being a quick target. Once the merge hits the annoying and weak people become a huge ally not the guys that can win every challenge. Phillips schtick is wearing VERY thin on me. Surely Boston Rob is watching this saying to himself that he (Phillip) isn't my boy he was just my pawn. Sherri may have found a crack to stay in the game since she was kind of mentioned on her tribe to go next. If she can reestablish a strategy and make it work. |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() If Corrine really loved her gays she could have said sure lets split the vote then gone to the remaining "other" tribe member and said lets vote Philip out. 2 votes for the girl 1 vote for Michael 3 votes Philip bring me your torch.... |

That's what I expected. She should have gone to the fans and said giddyup, 3 votes for Phillip and he's out. Time was ripe for a big move and she did nothing. Agree on a boring episode and that challenge was a joke how quickly Phillip's tribe collapsed. Personally, I would have been back in camp in Phillip's face screaming "WTF WAS THAT????" None of that tribe deserve to win |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() Phillip's arrogance then excuses are nauseating. He "threw" the challenge? Kudos for Cochran to just laughing. Maybe I'm too competitive, but I would call BS and go off... But maybe not for a million dollars. I couldn't stand the self ridicule jokes from Cochran the first season. The first few are funny, but the constant "I suck, I'm weak, I'm terrible" wears on me. THIS time? I love the kid! He's starting fire off some shots "It would do a disservice to Vanilla" and other really creative and smart comments/insults. And less of the "poor me" stuff. Not sure if he "grew" or just is more comfortable, but I think he's going to do pretty well this time. . |

I said the exact same thing to my wife!!! At this point, though, you have to keep Philip around. It essentially turns the top 3 into the top 2, because nobody can stand Philip or his antics. I couldn't do it though. There's no way I could bite my tongue every day, with all the crap that comes out of his mouth!! |
