Would he let me sleep on his couch? if this goes really bad.....i would routine just get a hotel, but it is spring break which may make it tough? I think you will be just fine! and if there are any problems you can always call me i am close enough to effect a rescue if need be! |

Of course not. I barely talk to mine and we all love each other and still together. oh i'm not sure i love them any more. hence the divorce. Completely not knowing the situation, I have mixed feelings on cutting family out of your life. If they did things that were unforgivable - absolutely. Define that how you wish. But so many gray areas like just not getting along or liking family members - it's hard. My (late) grandmother and I did not get along. The moment I was not a "child" and wasn't forced to do things with her I stopped completely. I don't regret it. She was a thorn in my family's side. But my parents felt differently - God bless them - they were sympathetic and compassionate. They loved her unconditionally even when it wasn't remotely reciprocated. I have huge respect for that.
I had a grandmother like that. I was honestly sad when I went to her funeral to see only 2 of my 10 cousins show up. But I certainly know why. She wasn't exactly polite. She pretty much scared off the first girl I ever dated seriously and then made my best friend never want to come to my house again when she called him a welfare bum who's parents were losers. In a way she was right but his family was going through a hard time.
I still went to her funeral. I still did a reading and I managed to remember some of the good times. I think someone would have to do something really severe for me to cut them right out of my family. I have very little family that is close and I realize now how important it is. I also surround myself with great friends who are the family I get to choose. |
