Looks like Bianchi's colour, but I see it's a Spesh. Any reason for a new one, other than N+1?

I decided to get a roadie so I could ride with others, specifically with Mary in October

You can do it! What distance will you do?

Hi Mary

I am doing a sprint, I know I can do all the distances individually but I had a time in my head that I want to do it in and also nervous about linking it all together.

I think the hardest one is from bike to run. Do a bit of hard biking and then run for a moment, so you get an idea of how your legs have to switch between these two. Getting out of the water is a bit of shock for the brain, but the feeling of accomplishment is awesome
A little bit of nervousness is fine Technically, anxiety is human defense mechanism Triathlons are so fun you will love it and you will love the feeling, and adrenaline Plan those next four weeks reasonably.

Don't sweat it, the training you did in March will see you through. Just ease back in to it, don't rush back in and get injured. It's much better to get there under prepared than injured. Races are not won by the last 4 weeks worth of training, but the previous xx months of training. Hope you had a good time in Orlando. You've made me jealous.

Thanks Darren Had a great time, everybody are so friendly and places so clean, not sure the bank manager will agree though but definitely will be going back to the states for my next holiday!

I'm glad you had a good time in my back yard!

You live in a great area and I would move there tomorrow if they would let in a British realtor!

I have done a couple of indoor bricks but going to do my first out door one this weekend as get a completely different feeling riding on the road than indoor in my legs. How should I be looking at planning the next four weeks?

I would continue doing what you're doing. Where are you with your distances? I think once I complete each distance, I would make sure I am confident with these distances, and I would work on bricks and overall strength. The week before a race I would take it easy. I'm so excited for you!!
I am always super excited for people's first tri

Is there a "finishing" rule in Boston marathon? That you have to finish within certain time?

11am.  I was wondering about 20k but looks like she just slowed it down / had a bit of uphill.  Her achilles was bugging her a bit the last couple weeks so I told her to take it easy.

Yeah, you have a really dramatic downhill for the first 10ish miles (or 15K) There are some small ups and downs before and afer the 20K which aren't dramatic but it's a bit of an adjustment after coming off the downs. The biggest ups are around 20 miles.

The running aspect of an Ironman triathlon is a marathon. Most people take on a marathon as a single event and the training for this uses up a lot of their time. Here are some tips for the run.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
