I loathe malls and shopping centers. It's worked out well for our marriage when I DON'T go with her.

I can be responsible for the basics.  Dockers and polos, sock and undies.  I also take FULL responsibility for sports wear.

Anything the high fashion side?  That's the better half's domain.

Oh, BTW, the wife will be a guinea pig for the show "Face Off" on SyFy.  It's in it's 6th season or something?

I'm not sure if she is going to be a monster or something a bit more loverly...  But she had to do a full face casting the other week.

It was on sale, half off. The price tag said $90. So I thought it was $45. So I bought it, and it rang up at $90. I said `I thought it was half off.' And she said `Yeah, half off $180, the original price.' At that point, I had no choice but to buy it.

But I needed it!

don't they have K-mart in chicago?!?

Or Kohls? If you pay over $12 for anything in Kohls, you paid too much. Tony just want's to be all fancy-schmancy but we all know that Monica's gonna beat him tonight for spending $90 on a tie.
I was told last weekend I'm no longer allowed to buy clothes from Kohls.

This is true.

Hey Meh do you shop at Kmart and Kohls a lot?

neither one, ever.  I shop at mid-level brands - j. crew, banana republic, and the like.  and their ties aren't anywhere near $90.

Milwaukee will unfortunately be a week earlier - the AG Nationals are Aug. 10th & 11th, and Tony and I will most likely be in Madison, WI the following weekend for the Madison Open Water swim race, followed by riding the IMMoo bike course.

Do you know which of the dates you'll be in Chicago?

Shoot. Sounds like it would be a pretty cool weekend. I will PM you guys with details I'll be in Chi. It would be nice to say hello to you guys if I can make it work.

my nephew was born at 12:13 am today.  he's not a cute baby (i'm spoiled i guess, besides the premie, all of my nieces and nephews have been beautiful little newborns) and they are thinking of naming him dorian.

i just don't know how to be polite when we go visit this afternoon so i'm telling everyone who doesn't know them so i can get it out of my system and hopefully i can behave myself.

THANKFUCKINGODIT'SFRIDAY!!!!

I wore wellies this morning to work as it was raining all night and the weather people that live in my phone said that it was going to be thunderstorming all day, so packed "regular" shoes in my bag to wear once I got to work and I'm now wearing my pink rubber gym flip flops as I grabbed 2 completely different shoes.

Sigh.  I'm going to go get more coffee.

Sadly, no.  And one is a wedge sandal and one is a flat.  NO idea how I managed to do that.

Wow. Just. Wow...

I have no want or need to see that. Maybe add a beach ball and umbrella cocktail for visual appeal on the photoshoot?

I dunno what's funnier......the fact that you brought two different shoes to work or the fact that you called your rain boots "wellies"

p.s.  I have no clue why your post on that showed up in my news feed, but holy smokes, those are some good deals!   TBT hadn't actually launched their wheel rentals the last time I looked at them.  It's nice to see that they are really doing it affordably.

I'm actually thinking about the used wheel purchases for the future.  Getting a Zipp 900 disc for cheaps would be awesome.

I did the rentals in '09, but I may have a free use offer from a fellow member. I may take them up on it!

What's wrong with wellies?  That's what they're called in the UK... and pretty much the ONLY thing you wear on your feet from September through June.

My pink rubber flip flops are awesome - and making tons of noise in the office, so that's an added bonus.

Race wheels are sexxeh.  I wish I could outfit my bike with some 50mm deep rims for all my rides.  They just make a bike look sharp.  But alas, just save my HED3's for racing.

I wonder if I will get to the point of selling stuff like that since I don't train anymore.

No training?? Wazzup??

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  I bought them after all.

The $90 tie reminded me of this other dumb-arse purchase I need to take responsibility for.

So you have 2 sets - one for the front 9, and the new set for the back 9.
