I will say this: while I am sad to be leaving Scotland...I am jumping for joy for the glut of Mexican food that awaits my devouring in America. OHHH yeaaaaaah.

Silver lining: I finds it.

lvthgme - 2008-09-23 9:39 AM We were just discussing here how to say "Taco Bell." Emphasis should be on "bell" and EVERYONE knows that. But I have a few friends who say "TACO bell." GAH! So I'm saying it that way and this (nice) coworker of mine is like "And that's wrong? Or right? Aren't you just saying the same thing?" So I say "put the emphasis on "taco." So he goes just "Taco." and I go "Now say 'bell.'" He says "bell." GAH! So I'm like say them together...so he does but just normal. GAAAAH! HAHAHAHA!

No everyone knows it's Taco HELL with the emphasis on the HELL...

S'what my pops calls it, too.  Sillies.  I lof Taco Bell.  Mexican pizza (better with green onions but whatev) and cheesy fiesta potatoes...YOM.

Me too!!!  I go once a week, probably...

That drives me crazy!  One of the people in my lab does that and always leaves it on full volume.  Her ring tone involves whistles and weird stuff.  it's so annoying.

In other news:

Had to go to the dentist to get a deep cleaning.  They needed to numb the mouth and stuck the needle into the roof of my mouth and in the the jaw muscle between the upper and lower jaw.  I swear, it felt like she push the needle in so far, it felt like it was going to come out the back of my head.  I was clenching my hands and toes so hard, I started to sweat through my pants...(it WAS sweat - I didn't pee myself, but I might have if it hurt much more.)

THAT lets you know your alive....

But now I have some seriously clean pearly whites....

Hello - My name is Dohn Armon and I am a friend of John's family.  Steph wanted to update you but is not up to doing it right now, so she asked me if I would do it.  I am not exactly sure who you are, but your are very important to John, it seems.

At around 10 AM, a social worker came out to see us and asked Stephanie if she would like to call the family or if she would like for hospital staff to do it, as the conditions were not good, and they felt that John's family should be here.  His Mom and Dad live in Alabama and cannot travel easily, so we called three of his sisters and a couple of his Aunts to spread the word.  Most of them live in Cedar Rapids, which is about 30 minutes from University Hospitals, where we are at now.

At 11, or around there, the waiting room was so full of people that they moved the bulk of the group into a private area, except for the immediate family and a few friends.  I walked out into the large area and was surprised to see more than 50 kids and young adults wearing T-shirts from John's charity, all very sullen and worried.  I don't know who any of them are, but Steph says John calls them "his army".

About 20 minutes ago a doctor came into the family room and walked up to Steph.  He is John's transplant surgeon and he had just heard what was going on.  He gave Steph a hug and told her that John was going to be OK, he was going to take care of it.  He went through the Operating Room doors and that is the last we have heard.  We are approaching 6+ hours in surgery now and we still don't really know what the issue is.  Hopefully we will have good news soon.
