That's an entertaining idea. Maybe I should do it this year before it starts getting to hard. Since I turn 41 I should do 4 mile swim 41 mile ride and 1 mile run? Can I turn it around and swim 1 then run 4? Also, since it's metric here maybe I could do km instead of mile? Next year I turn 49; I'm f!cked any way you look at it! I turn 28 this year. That's not so bad. I'll be 51 in another month or so. The 1 mile run is possible. 51 miles biking maybe possible by then. 5 miles (or even 5km ) swimming....not a chance. Would be way more fun if we could switch the number around, like swim the smallest etc Seems to make more sense that way and something to shoot for. I'm going to add that for my planned 2010 Feburary birthday. There are different levels of the challenge. It's at bfitbday.com The gold level you do the swim in yards, so it would be 5000 yards instead of 5 miles. Yeah, read their site. Still seems out of proportion at the Platinum challenge for swimming, though. Say 49 year old (worst case for 40's ). Swim would be 4 miles (tough! ), bike only 45 and run 9 miles. I guess the official 'rules' say within 24 hours, so you could split into two swims during the day, but that's still a long distance. |
