From your friendly vegetarian:
I'd be willing to wager that if you gave up meat for even just half of your weekly meals you'd drop more pounds than not. Try it. Prove me wrong

Of course, you can't replace it with a bad choice. Try replacing meat with another source of protein like beans. Black bean and veggie enchiladas? You won't miss the meat, I promise.

I have a friend here who is vegan and she is almost 250 pounds.  I dont know what she eats

I was a horrible vegetarian.  I got really anemic.

That and now I can't have lots of soy because it interferes with thyroid medicine.

That's what I found.  That I was eating WAY too much meat.  Counting calories really does help me realize where I get my calories from.

I can only eat a "playing card deck" sized portion and still stay within my limits.  Funny, that's how much they say to eat.  I was used to eating whole sides of beef at times....

I would miss the meat. Because I love the taste of beef. And pork. And poultry.

Yeah there are some very UNhealthy vegetarians and vegans out there. Replacing meat with carbs is not such a great choice, turns out. Which is why I said you have to replace it with a GOOD choice!

My sister.

She would not eat a lean chicken breast or lean pork/beef, but could sit down and polish off an entire bag of doritos.  It's not meat, of course....

Look. I enjoy being a vaginatarian and to make me give it up would anger me greatly. Just like giving up meat.

Some guy and I must be on the same 'cycle'.  Either that, or he just likes to hang out in there to kill time.  Every time I need to 'drop it like it's hot' in the morning, he's in there.

Easter has the best candy: the little cadbury eggs, reese's eggs, and starburst jelly beans.
