Anyone know what time we should get in line on Sunday to register? It opens at 9 am and we are planning on being there at 8 am. We need to leave by 10 am in order to make our flight home.

seems like everyone's rolling in...I swear it felt like 80 degrees this morning. Just drove the "tough" section of the bike course and more rollers than I expected.  road condition poor on 388 after crossing 2301 but only about 8-9 miles on it thank goodness. perfect weather! the swim was great this am with the group...light>minimal chop...perfectly clear to the bottom...few jellyfish...felt awesome!

Great swim this morning - already looking forward to tomorrow's swim.  Water was a great temperature, hardly any waves, and it was perfectly clear to the bottom.  Current was left to right this morning (looking from the beach).  There were a few small white buoys there this morning which looked like they were marking the course.  But they were tiny and difficult to see.

Rode part of the bike course this afternoon - out to the bridge and back.  Light-ish winds but from the South - according to the forecasts we won't be getting the wind from that direction on race day.

Then I ran a little bit of the run course - trying to avoid the roadworks, triathletes and cars was a challenge.

Pity I have to spoil this holiday with a race on Saturday ....

Thanks Daniel.how was the swim today???

Just about perfect. Little wavelettes with a very occasional breaker size (1-2') but mostly just up and down. Swam faster than I expected out to the buoy and back.

Morning weather was a bit cool for shorts and tshirt. Water temp is about as good as it gets for a wetsuit without either sweating to death or needing booties.

I think I'm going to have:

T1
really thin tights that I hate and won't mind if they don't find their way home
Wal-Mart cold gear shirt
Nutrition for tri top pockets
Toe covers on my shoes
Halo head band
Glasses

Bike S/N
5-6 Baby wipes in a zip lock snack bag
Second half nutrition (3 bike bottles)
(this is where I'll dump the shirt, tights and toe covers)

T2:
More baby wipes
Two 2-packs of motrin. I'll not use it unless I'm already actually hurting
1 Immodium A/D
Run hat
Running shoes
Socks

Run S/N:
More baby wipes
two more 2-packs of motrin (hope I don't want/need these)
Wal-Mart tights
Wal-Mart cold gear long sleeved shirt
Reflective belt

Here at Shores of Panama and all checked in.  Actually made it in around 2pm - no line for check in and the IM store was easy to navigate.  I like getting here early so I can get the sale stuff

Might see ya all at the swim Thursday - just depends on when I get up.  Have all my stuff out and ready.  Coach actually said Thursday should be a rest day with just a little swim, bike, run on Friday.

Going to the banquet tomorrow night.

all checked in here from Boulder Colorado. Finished IMFL back in 2008...and i'm back! Looking forward to the swim tmrw.. Two of us from the Boulder Tri Club are going..looking forward to meeting others who will be on course! anyone hear why they don't have the more formalized "practice swims" with the course set up etc? it was sorta nice to be able to do a loop of it prior to the race... vs swimming the shoreline..

I'm ex-Army and found out baby wipes are a God send.
Ever changed your tire and had grease, road dust and tire grit on your hands for the rest of the ride?
Ever spill your nutrition bottle or slosh it onto your hands and had sticky hands the rest of the way?
Snot rockets, workout nose drippies, etc?

I just find I want something to clean my hands off occasionally to regularly and putting a few baby wipes into each bag ensures I have some at every possible stop point. They don't weigh anything and they're handy as all get out.

Plus if you end up with the $hits like I seem to at every race they are FABULOUS for making your bum feel better.

Well, that and some spare aquaphor.

Baby wipes are a staple of my Ironman.

Highly recommend a small baggie of tissue or TP if you expect to be on the course late.  MOST of the porta potties last year ran out.
