meh.  I was going to do a speed workout on the bike this afternoon but my phones are not working so I had to call to get support out to fix them.  I can't really be without phones since I work from home and my cell phone wouldn't work with how many calls I am on.  But, since it is intervals the trainer isn't the worst thing in the world.  I'll put it out in the backyard out in the sun and at least work on my tan.  And being out in the fresh air does help regulate the temperature and with our lovely lack of humidity in Tucson keep my sweat rate reasonable.  Got to keep the positive in mind right?

so, question - what is your most dreaded workout and why?

The one I do not do.  While I can never get the training back I do get the rest.  I don’t miss many workouts when healthy.

Today I was planning to ride outside after a nap.  I woke up to late so it was a trainer ride instead.

Hey gang, Just checking in. Kinda fell off the wagon after my sickness and some craziness at work. Been  lurking here and slowly catching up my running and biking since slacking off after IMAZ. Hope to be much more active on the forum.  Cheers!!

Morning swim and afternoon speed run on tap for me today.  Looks like next week is going to be stellar weather for my last non-taper week.

Morning everyone- 5am swim with the Tri group. Not to bad- I had the MRI yesterday, now waiting for Dr.'s call- we'll see......dreaded workout?....really don't have one but I seem to remember the ones that get you to the point of getting sick! Wether swim/b/r... Usually try to do those with others as it makes it easier plus makes me push A LOT harder and not think about it........have a great day

Good morning! Glorious rest day on tap for me.

I did not swim last night but it is not the end of the world. I did the key workout and strength.  It will be the most challenging part of maintaining the plan is the late swims - our local options are all late evening swims and the coached group is 7:30pm-8:45pm so it gets us home late but up early to do the next day's workout.  I am thinking a few of these random wednesdays or thursdays may be where i use vacation days to maintain some sanity through training and work.

Tempo run in 15mph wind gust 25mph not as well as I hoped. On the positive side I know how I will feel in these conditions. The other flip side. This run was done on tired legs, but fresh running legs. If that makes sense. Next week will be another longer tempo run. Tonight maybe a short spin on the CT. Have a great day of training.

Nice job getting it done.  I hate the wind when I want to hit paces.  Now, I just throw the pace out the window and run by RPE when its that windy.

Today was sleep in friday.  I am going to do a VO2 ride in a bit and then head off to the hockey tournament.  Should be a fun weekend.

Probably will not be checking in this weekend but have a good weekend.  It is supposed to be real nice here in the midwest...the outdoor biking is fast approaching.

I slacked off Wednesday so tried to cram it in yesterday.  Probably not the greatest idea...    CT in the a.m., 6 mile run at 5:30 then 3200 at masters at 6:30.  Run actually felt really good, and not too tired today, so...

But the big drive by brag is that back in Sept. I set 205 as my goal race weight for Calif. 70.3.  I had beem racing at 225-240 for years, finally decided to own my body composition.  This morning weighed in at 204.8

looks like I am in for similar conditions as well for my speed run.  They keep saying the wind will die down after today though.  Of course I do not believe them...

Got my speed workout in.  There were a few times I felt like I wasn't moving the wind was so strong, but thankfully a lot of it was cross winds.  I must say, having 3 chocolate chip cookies in your belly is not the best plan for a speed run.  But hey, they were fresh out oven, what's a girl to do?!?!!?  I have a feeling tomorrow's long run is going to be a rough one until I get warmed up.

I had a lazy morning today.  No priorities on the list.

Heading out for a short run in a bit and hopefully a productive CT ride tonight.

Well, I'm back from disney. Great trip, but of course sad it's over.

Hopefully i can be more available for the group.

I did get a swim in today, but am definitely above ideal weight right now and need to get my training to a more consistent level.

Plan on riding outside tomorrow!

Welcome home Fred!

Tomorrow I have a medium distance run then work in the afternoon.  Looks like all next week will be great opportunities to ride out side.  Enjoy the ride.

Today will be a long day for me.  Up before the crack of dawn and I will be awake until sometimes after 2AM.  Maintenance tonight.  There are days I hate my job.  Kidding, soft of.  This part and on call are for sure not my favoriate part.

Long run today but I might shorten it and do the long ride next weekend instead.  Today is 3:40 + run and next week is 3:15 with no run.  Reason being Tina is actually in town and she won't be next week.  I do not think this will hurt me going into taper.  It would be different if it was the run but the bike is so low impact.  I hate messing with the schedule this way but it's all a balancing act between training and life right?
