Master 7712![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Orlando | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes)Originally posted by jmkizer The vet seems to think ( pre X-ray ) that it is a chronic injury. Said based upon the thickening and crepitus in the area, the injury probably happened a while ago, but because he is in such good shape and runs etc i didn't notice it and the muscles around it helped keep things in place. Now that it's getting a little creaky ( my word), I'm seeing him doing some limping. Of course, that is all supposition as we wait for the X-ray results.Originally posted by amd723 So, I'm killing time waiting for the vet to get done with my dog. He may have torn his ACL. Stupid dog. Oh no! I hope that it's not completely torn. Hannah (@ rainbow bridge) had that and she went to doggie PT. She did compete in agility for a while after that but it started to act up again so she did a shorter course of PT and was retired. |

Master 10208![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Northern IL | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes)Originally posted by amd723 Originally posted by brigby1 When I switch from the bike to run, I stop the bike timer and change over to run in the 310 menu and then hit start. Originally posted by amd723 Another Strava question. The last couple of weeks I've done a ride- run brick. When I upload to Strava it combines the 2 into one bike event. That, obviously, really affects the avg pace. Anyone know how to stop that from happening? Neither garmin or BT have any problem recognizing the two separate activities, but Strava does. I emailed Strava, but haven't heard back yet. How are you recording in the first place? I see this happen when some people run their races. It'll show up as one long s/b/r because they record it as such in a 310 or 910. Not sure how to fix it after. I have completely separate devices for each part, so it's not an issue for me. Strava doesn't seem to automatically separate them. It sees one big file in spite of the activity change. If no one else has a simpler solution, I would hit reset before hitting start for the run. It *should* see two separate files then. |

It's been a while since I have graced a fan full of people with my absolutely disgusting post run stickiness. Not sure what a fan full of people is, but it sounds crowded! Which Ragnar? Hmmm, I wonder if enough Manatees got together for a Ragnar....... I'd be so down for this. But I did warn you about my stench. Just because EVERYBODY is dying to know (if you were here, you'd just be dying) ... the good news is that my unanticipated chili explosions have ceased. The bad news is that I'm ripping ginormous farts that smell like burnt plastic. Far more noxious than run-of-the-mill sulphurous or even canine-style farts. They're making my eyes water. huh, sounds like one way to lose 4 lbs. or kilos or stones I mighta actually lost them yesterday. It was that bad. AND STOPPID BOTH OF YOU yermakinmeraffcrazy and it's jiggling my stomach and making everything worse! Oh boo hoo, now check your PM You whine like a fat pug. I fart like one ... like an old, fat pug who gets fed leftovers. Huh. That is not entirely an inaccurate description. We refer to Stevie as the elusive yellow seal and when she farts, which is extremely often, we refer to it as the call of the elusive yellow. Love your sense of humor, Salty!! And everytime Yanti writes 'fat pug' it cracks me up, especially when she does something along the lines of foxtrotalphatango penguinuvulagargle - sends me into laughing spasms! Haha, I'm glad someone appreciates it! I mostly get a lot of looks |

I'm back from my conference in Philly! I had a great time and I did a ton of walking. I logged all those miles. I'm trying to catch up on everything I missed. I hear there is some kind of challenge going on? Oh! I'm feeling a lot better. Some allergies, but that's because I'm around the cats again after a few days. My hips were fine the whole time I was gone even with all the walking. After one day home, it hurts. I think it's my mattress. Is that at all possible? Abberlutely. Supportive mattress, pillow that holds head in neutral position, and if on your side, pillow between the legs and possibly a boyfriend pillow between the arms. I have no idea what that's called in the States. None of that's going to hurt (mattresses can be expensive unless they're futons), and if you're having problems, definitely worth a try. Fortunately, I still have a pregnancy pillow that basically does the same thing. |
