Assuming I hit all the mileage left for the month then I will have about 5% over at the end.  But I'm also tapering and that is when I often bag a little mileage as the big day gets closer.  After over 600 miles in the last 3 months the old bones can use a little rest!

4.95 for me today. Sorta took it eased into it. Had to take the last few days off with a sore knee. It is feeling better but didn't want to hit to0 hard and re-aggravate it. I'm at a little over 55% for the month, got some longer runs coming up. 9-miler tomorrow, 10 this weekend and a 12-miler next week.

Up to 86 miles for the month. Should have the hundred by this weekend, and be able to rest these old legs for a whole week

Ah, that's right - I forgot about the taper.

600 miles in 3 months? That's... well, it's so incredibly far above my abilities that I can't even THINK of a comment!

Congratulations on making me speechless. It doesn't happen often. LOL

600 miles in 3 months, is crazy. Nice job. Tapering for a marathon? Which one?

B&A Trail marathon in Severna Park, MD.  It is a paved rail trail, so not dirt or anything like that.  I've run the half the last two years, going for the sub-3 hour attempt as my last marathon hurrah.  Then I've got Boston 7 weeks later .......

Another 8.2 down this morning, last interval workout with 3 x 1 mile @ 5k effort.

Heading to the mountains for a snowboarding trip tomorrow but I'll get 15 miles in between now and Sat evening. Not sure that I'll have internet access but it's good as done. Let's push out the next few days and get our numbers up LEMmings!

I know I'm trailing behind but I'm officially done with my post marathon rest and next week I'll finish the rest of what I've committed to at least.

Have a great weekend everyone!

8.75 this morning. I have some catching up to do after my illness last week - gonna be close. This weekend's gonna be the deciding factor. I have a 4 mile race on Saturday - hope it doesn't take too much out of me because I'm counting on a good long run on Sunday.

Another 4 before we get the next storm coming through. Up to 90 for the month, with 11 scheduled for the weekend.

Another 5.1 down on slushy/icy roads this morning.  I would normally have begged this type of run on these roads, but my margin for error in the challenge is really close so I need to get the scheduled miles in to hit my goal.

Oh, and I'm getting sick again .... lovely .......

But I'm at 172.4 ..... only 27.6 to go!  7 scheduled tomorrow and 13 on Sunday.  But chances are one or both of those will be shorter (my wife is going to a quilting/embroidery seminar thing tomorrow and has to leave early so if I want to run it has to be as early as I do during the week which I don't like to do on the weekends).

C'mon Rick, set your priorities!! Quilting taking priority over your running?! Quilting?

(of course, maybe if I set my own priorities properly, I wouldn't be divorced. )

Her machine costs more than my tri bike without the Zipps on it ...... that thing will do just about everything short of making dinner, it's pretty cool!

Interesting. The 4 mile race in Central park for tomorrow morning has been cancelled because of the weather, and replaced by a "fun run". Best part is if you registered, you automatically get credit as one of your qualifying races for 2009 NYC Marathon. So, 3 down, 6 to go for me.

Well, every cloud and all that you know ....

6.2 mile general aerobic with strides done this morning.  Crappy run because I feel like dog azz.  But was able to get it in.  178.6 down.

My spreadsheet is up to date.  I didn't know if it made a difference where walking miles are logged. I usually put walking in the sport section of my log, but it doesn't count the mileage.  Earlier in the week I put some walking in the sport section.  Then, today, I decided to put my walking mileage on the run log.  I hope that is ok.  Anyway, the spreadsheet is accurate on my mileage, which includes some walking.

Hang in team.....we are almost there!

I have a 10 mile run planned for tomorrow.

Okay.. .I'm all logged in... Got 5 miles today, but I've been fighting off that cold that everyone is getting so I'm behind a bit.  I should be able to make it up... assuming I keep getting better!

Keep up the great work!

Got the spread sheet updated. Getting closer. I still have over 30 miles to go but I've got a few long runs to do so I should get there.

I have a 12 miler scheduled today which will put me at 118 with 22 to go after that to hit my goal of 140 which will not be a problem over the last 5 days. I might throw in a few extra miles to get some extra credit depending on how my bike training goes.
