Subject:RE: TAN #29 The case of the disappearing TAN
It's Friday the 13th and so far the natives have been quiet. They were restless before I started my shift at midnight. Some shooting between friends at a local apartment complex....

pfft... Fri the 13th doesn't scare me *rubbing lucky rabbit's foot*...
Of course I do have to take my car to the shop today... DOH!
I'm so screwed... and not in that good way either.

Uh, oh...what's the problem?
welll... the back brakes need replaced... that should be about $350... and the AC isn't working... I am hoping that it just needs some new refrigerant... but the condenser is making some strange noises.

The back brakes should be less than that. You can install pads, drums/rotors, AND calipers/pistons for less than that.
Those condensers can be expensive, I hope it's just refrigerant too.
No quote has been less that... and I don't have the time (and barely the ability) to do it myself...

Tri this one on for size....while I was deployed my wife bought her 17 year old son a $7,000 car. When I returned home I found the engine was blown. That was another $4000. Unfricking believable!
