cdban66 - 2013-03-01 12:44 PM Yo Goody, is that a new avi I see?

Hehehe...did I inspire you?  New month/new avi

Good idea.

Why, look! The fox does indeed seem to be pondering.

Asalzwed - 2013-03-01 3:23 PM I've discovered, through trial and error, the only thing I can't eat right before I run is jalapenos Smile

If that's the case, I want to know the list of things you tried!

Uhhh everything. My usual pre long run meal is:

French Toast

2 eggs over easy

Pan Fried Potatoes topped with tomatoes, cilantro and avacado

You mean something like this most tasty breakfast I had in SD???? Laughing

Here's the magical picture of me eating a 20-piece chicken mcnuggets while running. I only got to like 11 or 12 though.

No, I just was tired of mcnugget. I couldn't run with the dipping sauces so there was no variety in the flavor. Not to be a food snob or anything...

I agree! Guess I'll go home and run.

This confirms my plan to get the independent GPS tracker for Oceanside! Maybe at least one of them will work.

J paid for one of those Apps to track me in my first marathon. Of course it didn't work.

Yep.    It's like she rode off on that Te Araroa trail and into the wild blue yonder. Not that I blame her.

Agreed. I did a short swim with my little boy. Checked in to see if there were any bike splits posted. Disappointed, of course. Now I'm going to head off for a short run.

I have to do it. I have been so cold, since this blizzard. I can't get warmed up. We still have a ton of snow on the ground. The roads are messy and cold. I want to be in NZ where it's warm.

She is just demolishing the competition by so much that they didn't want to embarrass anyone else.  But off for a run and cheering along with some people in NZ.

Is there something wrong with ironman's tracker ? Surely she should have at least the first bike split 5 hrs into this right? Or have I totally misjudged things? Also, why no video????

Because they suck. No video. No bike splits for anyone. I must have said 50 times this afternoon, "I hate Ironman."

Well, the blog has a link for the Ustream video, but I can't watch it. I swear someone is going to get killed. What is so important that all those people need to cross in front of cyclists going downhill, coming out of a corner? That's just suicide.

Seriously. I have a huge problem with the amount of money they charge people and how effed everything always seems to be.

If I ever decide to do the distance, I don't know that I would choose an actual IM branded event.

Since I had some spare time to do some maths, I am on day 92 of a running streak. Not that I have any intention of holding that streak as I will be  tapering in a month.

Is anyone else streaking at this point?

Does sitting on your butt not training count as streaking? If it does then I am on day 4 heading into day 5

Seriously got to go for a short ride today and double check my bike fit before my sprint tomorrow it felt so much better riding it around the car park. Tom nothing impressive enough about my bike to warrant posting pictures (also I can't work out how to do it) no aero bars or anything like that. I'm still trying to get comfortable riding on the drops. I haven't ridden a bike for over 20 years and scared myself to death the first time I rode, nearly wet my pants and it wasn't even a big hill and I didn't even have cleats on.

Sorry waffling on now. I really want to know how Yantiis going I got up early to see, saw her swim split and then nothing and thought the worse. Thank goodness that it is only a problem with the site.

They don't post spits until T2 it would seem.  She'll be right.

Everyone finished the swim 100% - that is great, and unusual.  Perfect conditions out there today.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!  WTF is happening?  Posts in the Yanti threads indicate that her sis doesn't think she came through on the first lap of the bike leg?
