Thank you.

Keep being you. That is all anyone can ask. And we'll keep thinking of and praying for you and yours. Take care of your self and Mutti, that is upper most. The rest of it will fall into place as it should and He will take care of you as well.

5 for 5 as well. Weed Whacking, weed pulling, vine killing and yard mowing all done. Off to BBQ for the whole family.

BTW, we had an awesome church service with our newest band member, Tom. He did great and we both kept it together through "God Bless the USA".  It was an especially tough service, since we found out about another member of the congregation that passed away yesterday.  He has been there for over 30 years and it is always tough, but his pain has been taken from him and he is in a better place.

Race done. And since I was already sweaty, I did heavy yard work for three hours. I definitely over did it. I am burnt and exhausted.

Race went well. I was hoping for better, but my goal was unrealistic for me, considering the course. The good news is that it was tougher than the 10k trail I did last fall, and I improved my pace by about 30 seconds a mile. 3/6 in my age group, which was nice.

Oh, and I was pace booty for some guy! lol So funny. I guess I need to start wearing my wedding ring to races. He wasn't exactly hitting on me, but he sure chased me down and then he was all "Can I run with you for a while?" Is that a new pick up line?? (I colored my hair again, so I do look younger again, I guess.)

I dropped him after chatting for about five minutes. On a hill. I'm too fast for him. Tongue out

Congratulations - for the race and for being someone's pace booty!

I ran the whole way so goal 1 achieved.I did it in under 30minutes (Salty stop laughing ) so goal 2 achieved too.So with the run and the 4-5km I walked getting there and home - Jogo done. Oh also we had coffee after and I nearly ordered a chocolate and strawberry muffin then I remembered day 1 of no chocolate so had orange and poppyseed instead and felt really good about it, enjoyed it and didn't miss the chocolate even though the other lady with me had some. So YAY for me on that one.
Congratulations on hitting your goals! But really, this no chocolate thing is just crazy talk

For my continued pretend participation in the Jogo challenge I offer a 35 mile bike followed by a 2 mile run. Since Mondays are usually my rest days, I see a quick end to my "participation" !

Oh sigh. I am down.

I should probably rant more--and the deepest appreciation to those who let me --I just don't. And honestly, for the most part I'm happy, from the inside out. Whatever happens around or to me doesn't change that.

Anyway as most of you know I have a lot on my plate right now (understatement city!). I'm also looking at being primary caretaker for Mutti for a week--it's only a week, I know--but she's really taken a downturn lately and so we'll be doing Tour de Idiot Specialists to try and figure out why and if/what to do.

I do spend a fair amount of time on BT, far less than usual, but it's part of letting off steam so I don't explode and my poor siblings will have to scrape me off the ceiling with spatulas.

Things (externally) have actually gotten worse--I'm just too tired to keep up with the dental floss list, so to speak.

I'm also doing my level best to try to keep some semblance of my important friendships, but the truth is that right now I have to prioritize family and those employees that have become like family--I'm not going to have their livelihoods ruined if I can help it because of the bad apples.

What pushed me over the edge tonight is that I called one of my closest friends, we hadn't spoken in a few days, to see how he was doing, to let him know I'd been thinking of him and praying for him. Not to rant--and I didn't--but really just for him. He ranted to me ... ABOUT ME. First by being sarcastic about my calling; "I'm shocked," he said (I call every week no matter how much my life is in the shytter. The last time he called me was right after my dad died). And little things ... that I haven't "liked" his new business on Facebook yet (REALLY?!?!?) and that I discouraged him from contacting my sister for business reasons.

I'm extremely protective of my sister under the best of circumstances--she's a celebrity, carries a great deal of weight, is super busy, and everybody always wants something from her. Right now every major area of her life is extremely challenging (to put it mildly) even more so than mine.

I realize that his outburst was about him and where he is at and that he clearly is in some pain. Like I said to Jo about her trainer--it ain't you, it's him. Nevertheless, I'm really, really hurt. This is a person in the very closest circle of friends.

That said, I'm this hurt because it is unusual (obviously if it were usual the friendship would not have happened/lasted/be close). So we'll see what happens. The way I see it the ball is in his court--after tonight, I am really not inclined to reach out to him for any reason, so if anything is to happen it'll have to come from him. I hope it does; I believe it will. We've both seen each other make some pretty bad mistakes, as human beings, and we're quick to try and earnestly set things straight.

Still, it just effing hurts. I was ready to be a friend, I could really use a friend, and this was uncalled for in any circumstance.

People definitely come in and out of your life for a reason.  You have to put him aside for now, you don't need the stress.  Maybe someday he will be part of your life but for now he needs something that you can't give and in return he is projecting something you don't need.  He can't be a friend because he needs a friend who needs absolutely nothing from him.  There are lots of us that can be your friend and will ask nothing in return. Time to let go of him for now.

When you were thinking about G, were you thinking about how he is driving me nuts since he is on IR and can't get rid of his energy any other way?

Teach him some cool new tricks! Give him food only in stuffed bones and Kongs so it takes him hours to eat and he's gotta work for it (in non-mobile ways).

Well, I was kind of wondering what you were doing since he wouldn't exactly be bouncing around or going for your customary constitutionals.

Yanti, that really sucks.  He'll realize how amazing you are.  Being annoyed that you didn't like his business on FB? That's petty in the grand scheme of things.  You have so much going on right now and you're handling it all fabulously.

AAAAAGH cantstopcrying ... I thought about you a lot today and your love of all things badgermoose and Mutti. How deeply that touches me, I can't tell you. I also know you (and many others, but it's all about you right now) really understand what it's like to feel so overwhelmed that it's incredibly hard to will yourself to give a crap about anything, much less actually DO something about anything ... either about the anything or about not giving a crap!

By the way, if you are a Manatee, you got prayed for today during my long (looooong, and I think I mentioned very wet) run. Of the Manatees on the Disabled list, and for those with family members having a hard time, especial care and thought, and they were included too.

Oh me too. When I told my friend this she laughed and laughed at me until I found an old photo of him on the net. Then she changed her mind, quite quickly actually
