That was my question. There are pics of both my sis and I eating regular old cake on our 1st birthdays. Assuming little-leaf doesn't have a milk allergy, I'm not sure...

It is true that you aren't supposed to give Babies (under 1 year of age) cow's milk...  but that is to drink.. not as a part of food.. plus think it's maybe 1/2c or 3/4c of milk divided into 15 (or more) portions..  and frosting only takes like 2-3 Tablespoons of milk..

unless there is some anaphalactic allergy reason..  why not???

Right - I didn't think that milk cooked in food was in that category. Again, 1-year olds have been eating birthday cake forever.

Sharkie - 2008-08-01 2:22 PM ok.. i went to the store for cupcakes and donuts... i'm sooooooooooooo baddddddddd...

chocolate or white cupcakes? I got one of each last week.....the chocolate had blue icing and the white one had bright orange.

Because I was buying treats for everyone at the office I bought a 24pk.. 12 white with white icing and 12 chocolate with chocolate icing.. i had a white with white icing cupcake

i also got a dozen donuts for the non cake eaters...

My son's 1st birthday is Sunday. I wanted to make him a cake, but it has cow's milk and he can't have that yet. What should I make him?

Why can't he have milk??

We gave Jacob Ice Cream cake for his first birthday...

That was my question. There are pics of both my sis and I eating regular old cake on our 1st birthdays. Assuming little-leaf doesn't have a milk allergy, I'm not sure...

because of leftinthedust. She's a little over-the-top when it comes to giving the kids new foods. Doc recommends no cow's milk until after the 1st birthday. heaven help me if I gave him anything that had a milk product in it.

What time of day was he born? Just serve the cake after that time on the same day this year. Problem solved

Pediatricians gotta get their stories straight. Do this, don't do that, blah, blah, blah. It all changes every generation anyway and look how we turned out.

I've never really tried to be the last one, I guess I'm just too much of an overachiever for that.

Is that why your omelets are so good... you have lots of time to prepare them after you finish your... stuff?

It's not like omelets take much time, though.
