I got all 3 sports on tap for today.  A swim, speed bike, and speed run.  Don't know how I am going to fit it all in as I also have a crap load of work to do today.  Losing part of the work day tomorrow with time spent at the allergist.  Who hopefully is able to give me some kind of med that will lesson my dependance on Kleenex.  In the meantime I cannot take anything and I lost my nose clip for the pool so post swim has been fun (the pool issue isn't why I am going to the allergist though).

Good stuff James & Stavros!

I had grand ideas of a 90 minute ride this morning but some sleep issues cut it back to 65 minutes...ah well.  Heading to the pool at lunch although having second thoughts becuase it is so nice outside.

Probably not going to race this weekend...but maybe next weekend...we have swim classes for the little one on saturday mornings and I like going with her.  The following week is much closer to home...we will see.

Fred D - 2012-03-21 6:32 PM Weighed in at 168 this am, down 3 lbs. It's a start.

Great job on the weight loss Fred!  That had to be more of a diet change huh?

Morning All,

I have a AM run and a noon swim today.

I might “might” do one of the following iron distances races this year.  ChesapeakeMan, Rev3 Sandusky or B2B.

Does anyone have any race experience with these races?  Thank you.

Have a great day training!  Off to make it happen.  Laughing

What is LARP Adam??

Got a run in last night, first one in 3 weeks, felt great, still a little discomfort under my butt cheek, but all else felt fine.  It felt really really good to run again, hitting the final 10 weeks before my half, no more dorking around.

Hey Gang,

I am calling it; after yesterdays swim my swim fitness is back.  Actual at looking at last years logs I think I am even a bit faster.  The best news is I think I can still improve.  I know swimming with Lindsay brought it around quicker.

I have an AM run and a PM bike today.  What is on for everyone else?  Have a great day training.

That is awesome James!

It went pretty good.  I abbreviated the swim and bike a tiny amount but got the bulk of the workout in.  No more wetsuit for me I think, the pool heater is starting to keep up.  It's funny cause part of the pool is hot and part is still pretty cold.  One lap brings many changes.  So I'll just switch to swimming when it is sunny out and that will help.  But I have been very happy to see my times in a swimsuit.  If I can translate that to race day it should be a fairly solid swim for me.  Which of course means sighting properly.    I'd be ecstatic with anything near 2:00 (usually it is about 2:10), but the numbers I was seeing makes me thing sub 2:00/100yrd is possible, especially if I get on some feet

Good morning!  I have slept in every day this week! Anyway, i did a short swim last night since my coached group was cancelled due to problems with the pool chlorine levels.   It felt good to get in the pool.  So i am picking up the training plan with a run today and the little kettlebell workout i have.

I feel pretty good - i just have a little cough left over and a nose running to the point of needing an occassional tissue but that's it!

The weather is crazy!! We are getting summer temps and I think i will be running in shorts!

Medium swim for me this am.

I still work on my left arm and try to keep it from dropping as I breath to the right in general.

I do catch up drill for this.

Any ideas of other drills for this?

Do longer sets where you breathe only to the left. It alows you to get into a good groove and you'll notice that suddenly your left arm is good and the right is dropping. By swtiching back and forth ypou can really get a better feel for working on balance and symetry of stroke. I do the same thing, my left elbow is low and my reach isn't as far unless I breath left and it get's better.

Gotta love a 1 hour meeting that takes 3 LOL.  That was my morning.

I did do a real early trainer ride.  Main set was 6x4' @105%FTP with 45 seconds rest...the Jorge special!!  I was able to hit each about 4 watts higher than the last time I did the set so happy about that.

Also hit up a short EZ run after that meeting so that was good.  81 degrees in Michigan in March.

Planning a long run tomorrow morning but the Spartans are on tonight so we will see.

I don't know BD, a Elf Paladin is pretty cool.  Some even have wings.

OK for me today is a late afternoon bike.

Lindsay kicked my butt on the swim yesterday.  I hung with her on set's 1 and 2 of the 200's.  Then I ended up doing the last 4 set's around mid to high 2:30's.  I am still very happy with that.  Smile   I must do more 200's.

Have a great day training.

I am suppose to have a triple again today but I don't see it happening.  Not sure I can get anything in.  Long day of work on tap today (which started at 4AM prompt).  Dropping a database right now.  Always fun.

Allergy tests yesterday were interesting. I've never wanted to scratch my back soooo bad.  I am mostly allergic to grasses, plus my cat and dog.  I was pretty sure the cat and dog was going to be a positive.  He is also sure I have some weird thing that causes food to get stuck in my throat (which is the main reason I went) and he's hoping controlling the allergies helps there.  Otherwise I am probably off to get scoped.  That doesn't sound fun
