Seems like Stage One (single crank arm based PM) is taking pre orders now.  I'm guessing most of us here will not be first adopters, but I can't deny that this would be something I hope to see succeed.

I've read the debate about it on ST.  Interesting how deep into it some of those guys get.

And on a lighter note, we are doing secret santa in the office, and we each had to write down some hints (or you had the option to flat out ask for what you wanted) for whoever picked our name.  I wrote down that I wanted a Park Tool BBT-9 bottom bracket tool.  Wondering if I'm going to get it...or just a gift card to my LBS like I did last year which is perfectly fine.

That's funny, I hope you get it!

The joys of living in Calif....   Anyone else racing this weekend?  Doing the HITS series in Palm Springs, I guess it's the championship for HITS.  Interested to see how the race is handled since I've heard so much about the organization.   The IM/HIM is tomorrow, Oly/sprint/open on Sunday, doing the Oly.

Word is the water will be cold    But the weather shoud be good, in the 60s to mid 70s.

Omigwash YAY ... with such good wishes from such hawt and experienced piglets ... and dear friends ... I've got more than enough juju for a great (squeak-in-under-the-wire) finish!

Well, I've gotten boatloads of rest the last few days, am now keeping simple food down and am not running to the bathroom every few minutes. Still pretty tired but overall I am taking the attitude that this was the BEST taper to have ... since it's the one I happened to do.

P.S. I leave very late our Wednesday night (Bali/Perth are same time zone, yay), actually early Thursday morning, and get into Perth shortly after 4am. Then it's fight/haggle with immigration and customs (I'm anticipating it so if it goes smoothly, I'll be tickled pink) forever, eat breakfast, grab my rental car and make the three-hour drive down to Busso.

{MELON PRESS} Axenhots! Dang, those are some hot hot hot numbers there, especially for a cool month during which you don't actually have a race at the end. Impressive.

Without any close second, the biggest training month I've had overall (have trained more in run and swim individually, not biking, nosirree):

November's totals:
Bike:53h 35m 36s
Run:21h 34m 52s
Swim:11h 29m
Walking:26m
Yoga:3h 01m

Fred D - 2012-12-01 3:26 PM Sitting at a big swim meet watching my girls and hundreds of other kids. 7-8 yo girls swimming 15s for 25 free. Wonder how many triathletes can best that aside from Arend? This is a big meet with at least a dozen teams from the Atlantic region. The team that is dominating is from Allentown (parkland). They had at least 6 male swimmers with 500 yard (SCY) times sub 5 minutes. Just amazing to watch. However, talking to a friend who swam for psu he says that to get a Div 1 scholarship at a good swim school you would likely need to be swimming 4:20-4:30 range. That just blows my mind how fast that is. I mean 4:20 is 52s per 100 for 500 yards. Amazing!

It's impressive how fast kids can swim.  When I swim a practice with them, I am just MOP and with the boys I'm BOP!  Although one of them asked me how old I was on Wednesday and I when I said 37, she told me I "still had it".  LOL

Those Div 1 times are insane, I was never anywhere near that.

I'm still pretty fast at sprint distances.  In high school our water polo team had a :55 / 100y requirement for varsity, and we had some all americans on our team.  I was there '87-90, you can check out some of the records still standing (not me, lol):

Here are my totals for November. Not much pool or trainer time. My husband and I are going to work on my trainer tonight, so I'm hoping to hit that much harder in December. I won't have access at all to a pool during Christmas break, so I'm hoping to hit 100 miles running in December.

November's totals:
Bike:1h 00m
Run:17h 17m 16s  - 87.98 Mi
Swim:55m  - 874.89 Yd

My November totals were good, it was accidental...it's also clear that I live in an area with very good "winter" weather. I plan on taking it easier in December, my parents are here visiting now thru the holidays, so I will be more of a slacker!

November's totals:
Bike:34h 16m 10s  - 684.45 Mi
Run:5h 27m 55s  - 44.1 Mi
Swim:6h 13m 25s  - 23687.45 Yd

You guys having been posting some great training! Nice work everyone! my Nov wasnt that great but I'm feeling better and less destroyed by my short training sessions so It's build back up time. I'm in Calgary for 2 weeks doing anesthesia and then I'm off to Maui for 3 weeks over Christmas! Excited to get my bike out on the road! Going to take as much advantage as I can and ask my coach to add some rides I think.
