Watching these damn IMs makes me want to be less of a puss and sign up for one already....I've volunteered at two and at the last minute wimped out. One day I'll get some balls....

Can we say balls here?

Pocket minions can.

You're so good to me

OK, I just got back from the bike turnaround. IT IS SO WINDY. Much worse than last year. It's blowing so hard the timing mats blew away. It 20-30mph easy coming out of the east, so it's a headwind all the way up the hill. They are flying back down, but the conditions are brutal.

OldAg92 - 2008-04-13 2:28 PM That post melted my brain, Rick.

Yeah, it's gone. I cant figure out how to get a spreadsheet to hold it's formatting when you cut and paste out of excel. Mike, any tips?  I could always save it as a picture in paint, then post it....but there's gotta be an easier way....

Hey Bryan, do you have any intel on Chris?

IMLive is not showing any splits for him and we are all hoping he lost his chip in the water.

I seriously doubt anyone could question whether you have the minerals to get out there and run an Ironman BTTW Trixie

Come out and join us; You will have the time of your life...

Is this a hijack??

Ok, gonna do vineman 70.3 next year....if I don't crap my pants then I'll sign up for a big dog race...what one you wanna do with me Waterdog66?

Oh, and remind me to stop signing up for ultras, too will ya?

I actually can't wait to do one, I'm so impressed by everyone that toes the line at these damn races.  Seriously impressed.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm 38 years old and never learned how to use a spreadsheet program in the first place.    MY 12 year old already knows more than I do

I never saw him. I saw Aaron and Jacob, they were together at the half way point. I saw Dan on his first lap, he was fighting, I saw Doughboy, he was cursing the wind.

Make Waterdogg travel this way and do Wisconsin or Louisville. These beautiful Michigan springs really blow for any of the earlier IM's

Hijack off

trixie - 2008-04-13 11:36 AM Update, Chris M DID get out of the water according to Omega.

Cool, thanks Trixie, seems to me like it is probably a wardrobe chip malfunction.

He and Jacob were right on each other's tails and there is no 2nd split for Jacob yet, either.  Wonder if it has something to do with the timing mats blowing around?

We have a new men's leader

RACETIME: 04:53

TJ TOLLAKSON (#33) is normally an athlete we see trying to ride away from the field. Today's he's been very patient -- the word is he's hoping to have a strong run. (Tollakson was passed over the closing miles of the run at Ford Ironman Louisville last year.)

Through ninety miles, Tollakson is in front. Behind him are:
* JAMES BONNEY (#4) at 10 secs
* JORDAN RAPP (#24)
* RUTGER BEKE (#1)

A new women's leader

RACETIME: 04:47

ERIKA CSOMOR (#53) has finally managed to get to the front of the women's race here.

Behind her are:
* MICHELLIE JONES (#45) at 10 secs
* TARA NORTON (#47) at 1:55
* HEATHER GOLLNICK (#41) at 3:50
