Well, I took a few days off for a long weekend away, but I came back refreshed and ready to train!  I should be able to meet my goals -- just 24 miles to go running, and less than 100 miles biking.  Since I'm doing a century ride on Saturday, the bike goal is in the bag.

Great job everyone!

Family activities interfered with my workouts this weekend.

I'm trailing in the standings. I need to average 69.6 minutes per day to meet my goal. It should be doable. I'm going to hit it hard this week until next Thursday.

Way to go everyone. I was on a mini vacation to Waikiki for the weekend, so I my stuff didn't get logged until late last night Hawaii time. So a new record, 4 hours on a trainer. Wow.

Ouch, I've never made it longer than 1 1/2 hours. That takes some mental toughness.

I had my girlfriend there and a good book. We went outside in the garage and rode and chat for awhile. She had break issues, so I wanted to keep her company on the bike.

OK I have been really sick and in Mexico (oddly enough I wasn't "Mexico sick" but "Michigan sick" - as in sinus infections and laryngitis), and missed a lot of workouts!

I am back in the saddle and fear that I have let our team down!    I appologize if I am unable to meet my goal 100% due to the setback of illness, but I am going to give it my all in the next week and a half - I think that I may just be able to do it!

I'm pretty sure it's allowable to lower your goals if you've had to miss a lot of time for illness.  I wouldn't want to see you push too hard to meet goals and wind up sick again!  Maybe our wonderful team leader can clarify?

I finally got out and did a run tonight outside for the first time since Oct./Nov. of last year. 3 miles in 32:12 - better than on the treadmill. Got a bike ride also in today. I am at 70% so I am right on target. I have also added to my goals so right now I will hit 110 in each of the three by the end of the month.

Go Moose.

Happy Earth Day, Moose-ies!  Go hug a tree!  Show the earth how much you care!

Hope everyone is having a fine start to the week.  I've taken advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and gotten outside the past two days - nice easy bike yesterday and a easy run today.  What's everyone else up to today?

Trying to keep my legs somewhat fresh for a Du this weekend so Swim/Strength and maybe a leisurely bike session.

I also have a du this weekend...today was my last high volume training before a recovery week, so I ran 7 miles this morning.  It will be less as the week goes on, then race day on Sunday (with double time credit, woowoo!).  Sure hope we get some semi-decent weather for the race!!

If you are way under your goal, you can always find a local run or something to double up your times!!  If you have had a serious illness, there is a formula to change it according to how many days you missed--PM Jen (Artemis) if you need to do that.

I think we'll easily be back in first next week, especially with some of us racing!  Keep up the good work!!

Hi ya MOose! Sorry I've been incognito lately... busy with work and projects with home stuff. Thanks Medusa for updating my stuff for the week but dang! where is that file anyhow?!? Can someone post the link to the spreadsheet again?!?

I may up my goals but have to assess time and where I am currently... Swimming certainly needs more time!

Way to go all you peeps racing already!

That's right!! Double!!  So the more races, the higher your percentage completed etc, although it tops off at 110% each discipline.

Went to the gym today and jogged out a 10k, lifted weights and then swam a 1000 followed by a 500.

5 mile run planned for this a.m., which will seal up the run goal (guess I underestimated that one...). and then just a couple more swims and time on the bike.  I am out of town next week so I am trying to have everything done and logged by saturday, then the rest is just gravy I guess.

Hi everyone,

I've been getting a lot of questions about penalties for the losers.  The two teams with the lowest overall percentages for the month will have to change their avatar to something with a flower (April showers bring May flowers...).  If you are on a losing team, it doesn't matter what your percentages are, just that you are on one of the teams with the lowest percentage.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I have a ride this afternoon witch will put me at 100% on that front. My run tomorrow morning will put me at about 95% of my run goal. And the 1/2 marathon Sunday will get me my 110%.

Keep up the good work Moose's

Good job everyone. Sounds like everyone is making great progress. My Du on Sunday will put me at or over my goals for running/biking. Other than illness will also hit my swim goal beginning of next week and strength training by the end of this week. Will try for 110% but that will depend in part on how I feel after my race on Sunday. 29 miles on the bike is a lot for me so may need some recovery.
