Yeah, I know. I am nit picking. I love Peanut Butter, guess that will be a new go to.

I hear the ice cream calling my name. I must resist.

Yum!

My husband made chocolate molten lava cake for me while I rode the trainer tonight..oh how I was looking forward to one last indulgence. But he added orange flavoring (on the recipe but I never include) and I couldn't even eat it..he tried so hard..I feel a bit like a heel...but I'm not eating all those calories if they don't taste good. Now he is mad at me too...

I've been avoiding posting all day what I weigh...argh...175..up 18 pounds since IMLP

I've been indulging a bit this week knowing I will be eating clean going forward.

Kathy!!! My body loves this weight. It is a huge fight for me to stay below 170.

Here we go! No more Dove dark chocolate, no more International Delight creamers, no more Crystal Light. All my stapes!

Goal weight after challenge: 148-152!

We can DO IT!

Quick Update - I'm going through the thread now and collecting names and weights and adding them to the spreadsheet.  I'll have it posted this afternoon on Google with instructions how to get there.

Basically all you'll need to do is place an X in the row beside your name.  Then if you want, put the date and what you ate below it so the rest of us can drool over it! Sealed

If anyone has trouble getting to the spreadsheet, or would rather post here when you eat Chocolate Cake with Moose Tracks Ice Cream, covered with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Sauce, feel free to do that and I'll mark the spreadsheet. Laughing

Subject: RE: No Sugar New Year Challenge

I tried not to over do it too much last night at my family party, but did not have too much luck.  I had one 16oz glass of Cherry Coke, which was silly since I have cut my soda intake down to almost nothing already (over a few months).

I did manage to avoid the dessert table.  I looked over it and there was nothing there that really called out to me, so I skipped dessert.

Then the biggest problem was that my family exchanges gifts by rotating who gives to whom. The gift is always a Christmas tree ornament and a "festive food item". So now we have a big basket of chocolate candy! I made sure to eat plenty of it last night... so it wouldn't go to waste. Embarassed

I had a weak moment where I was thinking it was a really bad idea to sign up for this challenge.  I have all this candy that was a gift.  Maybe I'm just torturing myself for no reason.  But this morning I'm thinking straight (maybe it was the sugar rush) and I still want to do this.

Chocolates and peppermint ribbons won't necessarily go bad in 2 months, right?

Edited to just clarify that all this was before the midnight cut-off. So don't ding me (yet).

Thanks for putting together the spreadsheet!

It is 10:42 and I don't have a caffine headache yet I'd would have had a diet Pepsi or two if not for this challenge.

Goal today is to keep busy and out of the kitchen.

I was very proud of myself.  I REALLY wanted to go to the yummy donut shop near my pool this morning because I was very happy I actually MADE it to the pool.

But I didn't.  I can almost SMELL the donuts now....

So far so good on Day 1. I made 2 batches of fudge this weekend so I could get that out of my system before midnight last night. Well, this morning one of our clients brought a tray of cinnamon rolls and muffins to the office. They smelled wonderful and I was so proud of myself that I have been able to resist without any real temptation so far. Let's hope I make it the rest of today without a Ding! Good Luck Everyone!

My co-workers are gathering for lunch at the mall, which as we all know has many temptations.  I brought my lunch and am trying hard to remain strong in eating my lunch.

See how strong we all can be saying no to the cinnamon rolls, the bakery, waffle for me...great job everyone.

This one book I've read says something like this every time you say no you strengthen your no muscle in your head. I's love getting to the place where I'm no longer tempted. I was there for a few years and it was amazing. Go into any situation and not be tempted by food as I knew I was not going to eat anything off my plan and tempting yummy sugar or chocolate laden food was out. I want this challenge to give that back to me...have my no muscle iron strong in my mind so I am no longer tempted or get stuck in that debate in my head.

Last night i ate a soft-serve vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles from Baskin Robbins.  Yummy!

This morning I come into the office....what is on the kitchen table???  Doughnuts and See's Chocolate candies!  I simply thought of this challenge, looked away and took my Greek Yogurt out of refrigerator and ate that with 1/2 teaspoon of honey on top.

Wow ... I actually have will power. How about a big steaming cup of Mexican Hot Chocolate with whipped cream. I had to say no thank you and was a little sad to see it leave my office. It smelled so wonderful.

Ok, this is just wrong.  The two easiest to find beef jerky brands (for me, Oberto and Jack Links) have sugar in the top 3 ingredients. I expected it for the teriyaki flavor, but even the original. I was hoping to use beef jerky as a snack food.

I guess I need to do some research.

Okay, here's the link to the spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-AbseBP8X53EA&hl=en

Give it a try to see if it works for you.

username: btchallenge

password: challengeforum

Once you're in it, and if you have your own google username, you can hit the share button towards the top right and give your own google username access to it.

The basics of this spreadsheet is this:

Place an X (or x) in the yellow row for each event that you slip up.  If you want, go ahead and put in the date and what it was.  Think of the memories! Laughing

If there are two events on the same day, such as 700 Calorie Venti Hot Chocolate from Starbucks in the morning, and a mega-calorie hot fudge sundae from Dairy Queen in the evening, please use 2 separate columns. (Ironically, if you put two x's in the same column, they'll cancel each other out and not get counted - too bad that doesn't happen in real life!)

Your starting weight is there.  I also put in a "Current Weight" column just for fun, and for tracking if you like.  The Feb 28th Weight column is the one that counts though, and the % change column uses that, not the current weight.

There's also an X counter, and a ranking.  Don't put anything in those columns.  They'll automatically recalculate if you place an x in the other columns.

I also put in your real names for whoever I could see in this thread.  I didn't go into your logs though to dig up more names.  Feel free to add your name if you'd like, or delete it if you don't want it there.

Finally, Joe Slacker has already made some entries to help me test the forumulas and to help you see a sample!

Good luck!
