I totally missed the race 50%! I don't have a race picture, but I can take a picture of myself with my bling and tshirt!

This will totally help as I've been resting this week with a nice little chest cold. I ran that half sick, and now I'm paying for it. I'm resting this week, then hopefully will be in full triathlon training, including many 5 mile runs, by next week.

Go, everyone, go, Team WORLD!

Lots of gravy in German food.  Isn't beer a staple in Germany?

I got in a couple slow, painful runs the last two days. Today I think I'll swim.

5.3 miles this evening before the sun went down. It was windy but sunny. Running against the 30-35 mph wind was not fun.

Tomorrow is a rest from running day -- I have a 10 mile Turkey Trot on Saturday.

Those look like litre pitchers . Nice Happy Friday !

I ran for 5 today , weather 40F dry and sunny. Did a course with 12 short (100ft) inclines .
So you have to adjust steps a little, power through the crest and open up the stride on the descents.
Walked after to cool down.

OUCH, that was a tough 10 miles this morning in the low 20s. My bed was singing its siren song, but I fought it off and got out the door before the spell captured me, only to get clocked in the face by the cold. Good to see others continuing to get out there on the frostiest of Novemburrr days.

100 more miles to go this month -- getting there!

RoniS - 2011-11-15 11:29 AM Hi all! Sorry I haven't been around much. Had a great time in Utah and Colorada, finished my 50k and marathon (love the bonus miles!), and had a fantastic vacation. I'm a bit ahead of my goal right now, but the rest of the month will be lighter now that I'm in taper mode. Going to see if the legs want to run today. They're still a bit sore, but I'm going to give it a go, Have a great day everyone! GO PACIFIC!!!

That is awesome.  You do that on a vacation

yea, it helps that my husband does this stuff too. We keep saying one of these times we're going to just take a relaxing vacation, but we'd probably be bored to death.

Thanks guys and Tracy!

This is great. It's been a few years since my wife and I took a vacation that didn't include a race (aside from visiting family -- that doesn't count as a vacation, right? ). Can you imagine going on something like a cruise? Stuck on a boat with only pool swimming, spin bikes, and treadmills...the horror, horror!

I'd NEVER be able to go on a cruise!!!!  Oh gawd!!!!  I can't even fathom the idea!!!

I just got back from a cruise!!  It's a challenge.  I hate the treadmill and when you are at sea - and it's rough - it can be a bit of challenge staying ON the treadmill - plus - the novelty of watching the ocean wears off pretty quickly.  I did get some good runs in there though but am behind on my goal.  Hopefully will be able to catch up without risking any injury.

Congrats on the race Roni and to all those on target!  Very impressive!

10 miles yesterday for a Turkey Trot. Finished ahead of my goal time, so I'm pleased about that. Not pleased with how many (hundreds) people finished before I did. Oh, well.

I'm still waiting for the results to be posted officially so I can complete my race report. No pictures. Too bad because I looked cute (so my family and a few others on the route said) in my Inuit dress.

Happy to get 42 miles ran last week.  That is my highest running volume ever and my body seems to be handling it great.  The one thing about all this running is I get to buy new shoes ALOT!

Hopefully I can string together another high mileage week and try not to let turkey and booze get me off course

Woo hoo!  Go Eastern!  Congrats on the high volume week!  I did a short run on my lunch in my attempt to catch up.  Crazy to think mere days ago I was wearing a bikini on a beach in Bahamas and today there were tiny snowflakes hitting my face on my lunch hour run!!??  It's like it was a dream.

High fives all around to Team Eastern TZ! Marcia went from the beach to the frost burn, and the Ryans both posted highest ever run weeks. That's right other time zone people, just try to beat all the personal success stories we've got over here.
