Kido - 2013-04-05 11:43 AM I think I would do well on the show and others have said the same.  But sometimes I think I would get voted off because I wouldn't say much.  Sit back and observe - which makes people nervous.

I think I'd be terrible. I don't do very well when I'm hungry first thing - get really bad headaches. Then dealing with some of those personalities, I just don't know. I have worked with some real nut jobs and dealt with all of their absurdities but that is not the same - you get to go home for the weekend. I think being hungry, missing family, tired, dirty all of that together would sink my ship.

It seems like sitting back for a while is a pretty good strategy really. Weren't several of the past winners quiet almost to the point of seeming like they did not have a game? But then they stepped up at the end. Don't ask me names though.....

Yeah, "stepping up at the end" is the key...you HAVE to make a move at some point...

It depends on who you are there with.  See Natalie against Russel Hantz's first season.  She did nothing except vote how Russel told her to vote.  Depends on the jury too.  If you have a bitter jury that can go along way versus one that respects the game.

I only caught the second half...started watching from the immunity challenge.  I'll have to watch the rest later.

WTF happened before that tribal?  What made Malcolm think they were voting for him?  He may lose a little street cred with people for predicting they had voted for Malcolm.  At least Reynold didn't go home because he gave Malcolm his idol.

Props to Malcolm that HIS idol seems to still be a secret.  Corinne was the only one who knew....

Until I watch the rest I won't have much more to say I guess.  I wasn't giving the thrash before tribal my full attention so I'll have to go back and try to figure out how everything went wrong....

I think this is a case of "reality show" editing. I predict it will be revealed that the exchange between Malcom & Reynolds at tribal was pre-arranged between them in an effort to prove Reynolds is loyal to Malcom and will do whatever he tells him to. IF Reynolds is stupid enough to give up his idol like that on the spot it was a brilliant move by Malcom to flush out the other idol.

Also....Andrea and Brenda. Holy hotties...that is all.

About flippin' time something good happened. This season is a snoozer. My eyes would be permanently locked in the back of my eye sockets if I had to listen to him like that.

I like Malcolm. I do not find him arrogant. He plays a pretty good game and he is doing it back to back. What ever was arranged... BRILLIANT. His idol is still secret, Reynolds played his. EVERYONE will begin to scramble. They still got Micheal, but those guys can win some challenges, and so can Malcolm.

Can Eric say anything LESS.

Finally a good episode.  What would have made it better is if they DID vote for Malcom and the idol came into play.  It was basically wasted.

Still, great show.

Man, Brenda dances a lot.  Not that I'm complaining!  She's always bouncing around.

Based on the trailers for next week?  Dawn is getting on my last nerve.  "man up" and stop balling all the time.  Sheesh.

Best line of the night "I wouldn't engage in any sort of masculine tomfoolery with these numbskulls" - Cochran.

The delivery of the line was perfect.

I'm thinking the exchange was "rehearsed".  It was a show.  But I think it was between those two and didn't envolve the editors.  It's seemed a little forced.  Reynold only took a split second to consider before tossing it - barely enough time to acknowledge what was being said much less consider it with a lot of thought.  I mean, giving up an Idol is HUGE and not done without some deliberation, I would think.

They probably said, "I'll pretend to play it, you stop me at the last second, and I will give it to you".  That's my gut feeling.  Just didn't seem authentic to me.

Now the editing came in when they showed Phillip hang his head and look concerned making us think that playing the idol really screwed things up, but really, it meant nothing.

Andrea is looking smokin'

I'm not sure why Malcom wrote Reynolds name down... just a plan B in case he wasn't on the outs with his former alliance?

WTF is up with Dawn?  She annoyed me before with the breaking down and tattling but it's just crazy now. She talks about Reynold bullying her and he didn't in my opinion just that if it didn't go his way he was screwed.  However, she takes the bullying from Phillip and "If you go against our alliance or have an idol you are gone" type of crap.  She is delusional.   Not a fan of hers anymore.

For the love of all that is holy please vote off Phillip he is getting on my last nerve with this stealtrus crap.  Just stop it isn't funny or cute anymore it's pathetic.

How about Cochran still doing well at challenges?  He was right that the bro-down concept does not work on a guy like Cochran.

Hated to see Mike go, I liked him and he made a good argument that he is a vote for hire when it comes time to eat their own.  So far it seems like the core alliance of stealth r us hasn't considered a circle with in a circle to get to the end. At least they haven't shown that in the editing.

I am really liking Cochran this season. I love watching people transend their normal self to try new things and so far he is doing good.

I too would have laughed at the "bro down" stuff it was truly lame. Just like every other part of the game smile, agree, then do what you were going to do anyways.

Ya, Chocrane is much more toned down. Philip turned it up. There are still some I like.... so far a little boring. I guess to be fair, that is how all dominate games are... pick off the numbers then the real game begins.

I am also a member of the Brenda Fan club, but I believe she is in some kind of contest with Eric to say the least.  She seems to be playing a completely different game than the last time she was out there.

Apparently she now holds the Survivor record for most episodes (8) in a season without a confessional interview.

Funniest line ever- I know the guys are jerks but I have three sons - I live in a household of men- most of them are a little too high on testosterone- but I dont know many that would say 'I dont want any part of masculine tomfoolery'even if they didn't, especially on national TV lol

That being said-  I like Cochran- would love to see him win this- IF he promises to get out and enjoy life & not to stay locked up in his apartment!!

WHY did Malcolm write down Renold's name!?!?

and Renhold looked a little surprised to me - i think it took a minute for him to think about the idol....

I really want to like Dawn- its the mom in me- she has a passel of kids she wants to send to college..but yeah she is wigging out a little in the preview- I still kind of hope she pulls it together.

btw, did I hear correctly early in the show Reynold say something to the effect, "Now that Hope's gone, there's no one good enough left to $%^& anyway?"  While I agree with him, he shouldn't have said that out loud...sounded really bad.  (true masculine tomfoolery)

Yes he did and it made him sound like a huge DB. Being that Brenda is stil there I also know he has not taste along with being a DB.

I've seen a few good Boston Rob like game-plays come from Malcolm lately. I hope it's foreshadowing his win and the others don't catch on.

1.  He named the tribe after his mom, as an anagram.    BR made up the tribe name and told them it was a word in another language.

2.  The "give me your idol" was something that Boston Rob wishes he'd done.   I am sure he would have done it, either at tribal or at camp, if needed (maybe he did).

I loved that move and I really hope that you guys are wrong about it be a setup.  BUT, even if it was, if Malcolm ends up keeping his idol and Reynold gets no benefit, then Malcolm really did win that one.

Which I really don't get. I'm no fan of arrogant, and I just don't see it. He played a good game last time and seems like a pretty good guy. He's playing back to back games right now, and probably is pretty sore he lost out on all the money last one. There has been plenty of him laying low in the beginning, and when he talks about his position in the game.... I agree. We all have opinions, and we all pick up on different stuff, but I'm a fan.

Whether the give away was staged or not, it was still a great move. Reynold was using his idol either way. Malcolm got him to show Dawn. Malcolm was planning on being the flip vote on a split vote... it ultimately did not go that way, and now Malcolm sort of showed his hand to the Favorites... but it was still brilliant as far as I'm concerned. It was a big move, he still has an idol, and we know he can win challenges.

I agree that it was a brilliant move on Malcolm's part!

1. He knows he has Reynold and Eddie with him

2. He used an idol and still has one

3. He can always tell the favorites it was a plan to flush Reynold's idol (which worked)

To me, that is one of the most historic moves in the history of the game, or it could be if he wins it!

I think true arrogance is coming from Phillip with "if you don't do what we tell you, you get voted off".

Man, I can't ever recall anyone saying that kind of stuff out in the open.

Do what I tell you, or someone will come up to you from stealth R us and tell you something,  you must do it.

BTW, maybe I'm a bit picky when it comes to words BUUUUTTTTTT...   Is it really "stealth" when you invite everyone and tell everyone and bring it up at tribal?

Ya, and win or loose, staged or spontaneous... he got a guy to give him an idol at tribal council... when Reynold most certainly had a chance of going home. I mean come on... THATS HUGE.

But Reynold HAS to be wondering who wrote his name down???? That I think was spontaneous... that Malcolm voted Reynold. If he figures it out... oh crap.

I could not stand him the first season... but then you just "didn't know". Now we do.. and it's not an act... even if they edit only the most absurd... even if it is only a 10th of what he says other times... for that stuff to come out of his mouth at all.. WOW. Every now and then I think I have found an exception, but later I usually found I have not... the bigger the ego on the outside, the more insecure and smaller on the inside.... Philip is one of THE most insecure guys I have ever seen... serious issues.
