Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty Beyond Ridiculous Manatees PART 6--CLOSEDrrrunner - 2012-12-23 1:06 AM Well my training today calls for a two hour ride. After reading my Feb issue of Triathlete Mag last night I decided I'd take the MTB out for a change of skills/venue. Well I bundled up and headed up the mountain. About 40 minutes in my hands were numb so I turned around and headed down the hill. I am now finishing my training session/Jogo on the drainer in my warm living room. I could have told you this to begin with Super job getting out there though and putting that time in, though! I'm still trying to acclimatize to cold in whatever very limited ways I can here. I'm failing miserably. The driver's started to put the HEAT on in the car--even though it's 30C outside, it feels cold to me because it's raining (even though it's not raining on me). And I'm bundled up! However, I'm sleeping with the aircon on, we're keeping the house quite cool, only taking cold showers and baths (how miserable), and slowly I'm getting there. P.S. Just watch, it'll be a record hot day at IMNZ, and I'll be trundling along in my knee-length wool socks, winter wool-layer running tights, mittens, a ski hat Plan is to swim and cycle around Bali's mountain lakes on the weekends to get used to the cold.
