Subject: RE: SWBKRUN Mentor Group-Closed! TIME TO TRAIN!Kim~ 16 minutes off your olympic swim time is amazing! Rob~ Congrats on the AG finish! Plus improvement from last year. Great job. Janet~ Way to go on the 5K. Izzy~ Congrats on completing your first tri! Be careful, they are addictive. Obviously without knowing your swim stroke it is hard to say this is the reason, but my first guess would be that you kick too much. I never feel any fatigue in my legs after the swim (anymore ). Last year, I went into my first tri completely blind and with little training. I had never even heard of "sighting". So, I freaked out! I swam the entire 1K swimming breaststroke. Needless to say, once I got to the halfway point of the mtn bike portion my legs were toast. Now, I have a very small kick and mainly use it for balance instead of propultion. I'm a decent swimmer, but I'm sure what works for me doesn't work for everyone. |
