I think I need to adjust my HR zones.  I did a 20 min test back in 2011 but haven't done one since.  Since I just raced a sprint, could I use my average HR over my run and plug that into the LT to get my zones?  That is pretty close to a 20 min test no?

If you're aiming for pretty close, use the 2011 numbers ;-)

Oooh, touche!

Ummmm...you need to tell her to look for the NEON team. Sheesh. Wink

Looking forward to reading your first tri RR. Darren (my now-adopted son Tongue out) learned so much at his a couple of weeks ago...made me wish I had done a RR for my first sprint last November.

Team neon. You know it.  I might just wear my uber neon shoes at the race.  But whatever happens, I'll def be wearing some kind of neon.

I'm 4 from 4 with my JOGO, including 4 days without chocolate.

Today will be the big test cause its shopping day which is when I normally buy it. So I have decided that I will buy a bar for DH and I will have a sesame seed bar.

Got a review of my role/performance meeting at work this afternoon feeling a bit nervous about it. But I keep thinking about your post Chris and have decided that I am going try and find some way of standing up for myself whilst also taking what they have to say on board and not being too defensive about things. Actually when I think about it it should be ok cause the group of guys that are doing it have all said that they think I do a good job but that I just have way too much to do and that they see it as a way of helping me offload some things to other people - I'm not sure who those other people are but we will find out.

Got a great brick workout in tonight.  Feeling pretty good with how it went.  Averaged between 21-22 mph, and 7:30 pace over a couple miles.  Who knows, if I push it and ride a little light, I might be able to get a 5k PR out of this (I got cheated on my last 5k PR for those that remember).

I am sure your review will go well. Try not to personalize it too much and remember that they should be trying to help you get better at your job if they are doing THEIR jobs well.

Good luck even more on the shopping and great job on the chocolate. Although I have to agree with Ann-Marie on this, giving up chocolate is just crazy talk.

Master's class.  Overall a decent workout but she doesn't give me much feedback on my stroke mechanics or where I can improve things.  I like her workouts better than the other Master class I attend--but the other coach at least gives feedback (inconsistently)  This is what I get for not spending the money on a real swim coach.  Bits and pieces from the web, Masters and a stroke that looks "okay" but could most definitely improve.

Week three no sugar no grains - that's no chocolate etc.

The only fruit I've had is low GI - berries.  Took three weeks to lose the withdrawal symptoms and real cravings.  Doing much better this week.

Was tough to kick the sugar in coffee and tea but now ok.

My Jogo, well I'm working out every day so I'm in.

Here's how my squad went - first I'm in lane 7 of 8 (8 being slowest) there are five of us, three of us clearly faster.  Coach clears a lane for us.  Two of us move over and have a lane just for us we decided no chatting no resting just go go go.

Constant feed back to me from the coach - he said I need you to go deeper with the hands Jojo, I always think I am then he says something that just clicked, he said I want you to raise your elbow and feel like your hand enters the water right in front of your head.  It will feel wrong but believe me it will be in the right spot.

It was a lightbulb moment.  My catch and pull was just amazingly different.

Thanks coach Johnny

I got out for a wee bike ride Jogo today---30 min./8 miles....Then I went home and did MORE yard work...I pulled out the tree stump I created yesterday, cut a few more limbs, Re-planted the apricot tree at my mom's house, and raked up some piles of debris. only 1.5 hours today.

I am now happily waiting for my bacon-y chicken thighs to cook and then place alongside some Cesar salad. NOM.Laughing

I am going to Cairns next Thursday to stalk my azz off.  I'm volunteering on race day (Sunday) early shift and i've put in a request for wetsuit stripping and sunscreen application!  hehe!

So I'm there Thursday to Monday - just had a look at my training plan and had to juggle lots of stuff around to get it all in.  Done.

There's an Ocean swim race but it's Thursday morning so I won't get in that - wish I'd realised I would have gone up Wednesday.

But there is a 5km run on the Friday - DOOOOOO EEEEEET - registered I'm in.

I just bailed on my lunchtime run today - I'm a little sensitive and emotional today, not in the right place.  It's raining - I'm doing a trainer ride tonight.  Already will do 4 runs this week, probably can miss one!

Love this pod, keeps me sane in times of madness.

We haven't blown away yet. My goodness. This wind is just horrific. I did get a run in, but I realized 1.5 miles from home that maybe I should have stayed home. Everything around town is creaking -- trees, roofs, buildings, signs. It's like the whole thing is just going to fall apart and blow away. I did get hit in the face with some tree debris, but nothing large, thankfully. I was never so glad to get home. My pace shows how anxious I was about getting home.

The whole time running, I kept telling myself, "Maybe your competitors didn't get out and run today, so you'll be better prepared." and "Your competitors got their runs in today, so if you don't get this run done, you'll be behind, and you can never catch up." and "The next time you run a race with near 50 mph wind gusts, you'll be ready." Motivation. Smile

Hey! When you finish your yard, I could use some help with this mess. I am considering putting up a sign in the yard that says "Prairie Reclamation Project" and calling it "done."

Ha! I could never outrun this wind. I learned tonight that there is a point at which a tail wind is no longer useful or helpful, but just makes things more difficult.

I don't know--It sounds like the winds may take care of the reclamation...  Otherwise, I 'd be happy to! Uh, you get to take care of my transportation to get there! Laughing
