SO I hit the IM loop today for my 2 hour ride.  Some dude pulls up next to me in a pick up and his passenger says "do you really think that Fu$king little light on the back of your shirt is going to save your a$$?" and then sped off.  And so the season begins.

Our house deal fell through.  Too long to explain, but I'm off with Cooper in the car, his cage and bed and toys in my back hatch while the house is shown today.  Really hating this part of moving.

Man - that is bad that people have that kind of attitude.  Don't they understand what kind of boost that event is to the local economy?  The attitude around here seems to be a little better...mostly have to deal with the older folks who don't like to give up any of the lane - refuse to move closer to the yellow line.

I don't understand why people who use that kind of language with total strangers.  Sorry about the house.  I dread having to try to sell our house when the day comes.

Sorry about the house.  But something will work out.

The convo with the driver sounds frustrating.  A friend and I got into it with a driver on Monday.  There was a near miss, and blaring of his horn, etc.  He pulled over and there were some choice expletives exchanged.  We loudly noted that we were "plating" the car, and read out the license plate (which, ironically enough, was party obscured by a bike rack).  At that point he backed down and drove off.   Never a fun interaction.  But hopefully the frequency of those types of incidents will diminish over time.

Funny. My parents lived up in Potomac years ago. he neighborhood just above the Old Amgelr's Inn did not like people driving through their are so they put in traffic circles. Best thing about it is the circles make nearly impossible to get a fire truck in there. Karma will get you and those drivers too.

The funniest part of this is that the traffic circles, which are like miniature rotaries, are among the things my trainer and I love about those roads.  There is one stretch between two circles that is about 3/4ths of a mile long, relatively flat and not many cars and no real cross-streets.  My trainer and I use that section as a looped out and back, and we ride the loop 4 or 5 times with one of us trying to catch the other.

I peeked at the calendar and realized, it's WEDNESDAY!  So, who's taking the plunge? toeing the line? ready to rock the race? We're all ears!

I am racing sunday Flat as A Pancake Sprint in Staten Island NY. short swim of .25 miles so I should have a better showing, I am ging to try and push a little harder on the bike and go from the 18.5mph to 19-19.5mph avg and try and do the 5k in under 21:00. I need to try and find my current limits as I dont want to really feel like I "could" have done more after

Hey Dino:

It looks like your distant cousin Kevin just became the coach of the Florida Panthers!

Hopefully it will be official later today.  He has been close so many times before (Blue Jackets / Oilers/ etc.) I don't want to jink it!  Laughing  It might be tough becoming a Panthers Fan .....  time for some research!

That so sucks. I was harassed minorly this past week on a trail... rode by a guy who was walking on the left, and as I went by he quietly called me an f'ing c-word. As it registered I told my girlfriend I was with and she skidded to a halt and read him the riot act. Angry man -- tried to tell us it was illegal to ride two abreast on the trail (it's not, even on the roads), yada yada yada. Didn't bug me nearly as much as it did her... it did provide good fodder for conversation for our social gatherings over the next two nights. It's so sad there are such angry people out there. Stay safe, Suzy!!

Maybe if they get off their A$$$$$$ and start running, biking, or something physical they could release some of their transgression.

Or they are just jealous cause they want our drive and they are to lazy to try.

I am glad you and your friend are safe.

As for me, I did have a really good 4 mile run last night.  For me, that's a major accomplishment.
