I expect to get dropped at some point in my near future on a windy day with you licking your freaking front tire. Mighty agressive fit. SWEET! |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!I was right to trust my instincts on the incoming storm here in Tucson. Major winds and the darkening clouds are producing some heavy rains at the moment and of course some thunder off in the distance. Back in Oregon rain was just rain. |

Extreme Veteran 689![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!Ok I have to brag a little, proud father moment. My son got into 7 out of 8 preschools he applied to (and weight listed to the other). I know it's just preschool, but those who don't know about the NYC preschool process it's a ridiculous process that involves interviews for child and parents, essays and many other school events just to get accepted, it's a process we started back in Sept. Most of the schools have less than 35 spots for thousands of applicants so for those of us who live in NYC it's a big deal.. Now we just have to find a way to pay for tuition.. |

Master 1318![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Houston | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!So I made an attempt to read through the thread and catchup but I think I took too many days off. I'm just going to leave it at CONGRATS to our racers the past weekend and I'm really jealous over Justin's new bike. If I missed any questions that went unanswered or you want my opinion repost them Summary for my bachelor party weekend... a lot of drinking and good times. No jail time, not to say there weren't close calls for some of my friends... Glad to be getting back into the swing of things now. Won't be for long since I'm out of town again this Thur-Sat but my liver's liking the break! |

Extreme Veteran 521![]() | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!Thanks to everyone for all the well-wishing inspires... I'm such a grouch when something sidelines my planned training. Like I said, hopefully it's "just" allergies and I will be back in action full strength before the end of the week. Hope everyone is having a great week of training and will get to enjoy some warmer weather for a change. Amazing how we are pushing 80 here in the Houston area. I forgot what it was like not having to wear a ton of layers and warm clothes on my way to and from the swim. Very nice to be sporting shorts and a t-shirt. ![]() |

Nicole83 - 2010-03-09 2:43 PM You know, I always thought I had strange phobia's until I met one of my best friends. She is terrified of amputees, belly buttons, and fake fur. Not just afriad, but terrified to the point that she gets dizzy and has been known to pass out. This is especially funny as every year Tampa, FL has their Gasparilla Festival, which is like a big mardi gras event with pirates. Amputees come out in full force, and women continually lift their shirts flashing not just boobs, but belly button. IT's great fun for her. |

Veteran 223![]() ![]() back of the pack | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!I need to put the laptop away for the night, I just registered for 2 more races... Sylvan Lake and Canmore. Sylvan is a 750m swim, 26km bike and 5km run. Canmore is a 350m swim, 10km ride and a 3 km run, it is on Father's day, the finish line is in the Cross country skiing stadium from the '88 olympics so that will be pretty cool in a great setting. Both are pool swims, it is just too damn cold up in the mountains for OWS. Good night. |

Took them off and after three tries she was up and riding. Yes I was the guy wiping tears in the cul-de-sac. It was a simple thing but was a big day to me. My wife was out with our other kids and I think it only being her and I made it a little bit more special. It was a great dad/daughter afternoon. |

Having grown up in upstate NY, not NYC I had no idea it was like that until I saw an HBO special about families trying to get into pre-schools and the stress they were under. The school calls all the shots and were actually pretty rough on the parents since they had the upper hand. Congrats on having options! Good luck with tuition. |

Payson, AZ | Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED!So is a HIM training plan a bit of an overkill for a sprint?!?!? Now that I am not doing that first HIM I am still searching for close by races. I found a sprint that I registered for. I am avoiding pool swims and sticking to OWS's. So I have a half marathon next month, a sprint the month after that, then my HIM in Oct. Still seeking out other races. If I don't find any others that's fine since I actually do enjoy training and just training sure is a lot cheaper then racing. |

I can't even imagine, just reading your post had me stressed out. Here if you want your kid in preschool you sign them up. I have friends in other parts of the country who slept out for 2 nights for a better lottery draw. CRAZY! I hope it wasn't too stressful for your little guy. It is good to have options. |
