Yes, I've read the instructions and I'm not sure how to follow them.

Attached please find three separate .cvs files.

1) The first is the template I downloaded from BT. All 'headers' are in one cell. Nor do I need all of them. I only need date, swim minutes, bike minutes, run minutes. I have no idea WHERE to put what's in the plan. Cells below? Dump it all in that one same cell too? (I've tried a number of permutations and can't figure it out ... )

2) The second has only the headers I need, each in its own cell, heading its own column, with training information in the cells below. This doesn't work either.

3) The third has all the information dumped in the same cell as the headers, separated by commas.

So that's what I've tried. What am I missing? Does anyone have an Excel or .cvs example file of how the data should be inputted? Thank you!

I didn't look at your files, but here's the plan I imported last year.  This is an Iron distance plan starting on 1/11/10.

that's exactly what I needed, thank you very much!

I just had no idea how to input the data into the cells and it wasn't intuitive at all.

I'm glad that you got this straightened out.  Once you have a working csv file, it's easy to update if you ever want to.

Hi again! Will PM the kind respondents here in case they have an answer, but in the meanwhile ...

I put a week's planned training data into the format jcnipper attached (which is also what BT provides, but a skeleton thereof) ... and when I clicked "Add" to upload it (per the BT instrux), I got a new browser window with one line of text.

So instead, I uploaded the file jcnipper attached in this thread, clicked add, and this is what I got:

LOG DATE (V1#0),SWIM TIME (MINUTES),SWIM DISTANCE,SWIM UNITS,SWI

Any ideas what's up, docs?

I wish I knew enough jargon to reel off about two paragraphs on, "how to" but I am sure you would be on to me. At least you get a successful bump.

TriAya,

Here is what I can see (I'm no expert by any means)...

IM Melbourne TP.1.csv - This looks like the template provided by the site. There are no dates, data, etc..

IM Melbourne TP.2.csv - You are missing all kinds of headers here. My guess is that all the headers (1st line) are required. You also have semi-colons instead of commas as separators. Your date format (dd/mm/yy) may be an issue too.

IM Melbourne TP.3.csv - Again, you are missing all kinds of headers here. Also again, your date format (dd/mm/yy) may be an issue.

Based on jcnipper's file, the dates are in the format mm/dd/yyyy

So, starting from the template, using dates like they are found in jcnipper's file, and adding data you had in your IM Melbourne TP.3.csv file I made a test file that has the following "plan" (your #3 data + 2 days rest + your #3 data)

9/9/2011: Swim 90 min, Run 30 minutes
9/10/2011: Bike 30 min
9/11/2011: Swim 180 min
9/12/2011: Rest
9/13/2011: Rest
9/14/2011: Swim 90 min, Run 30 minutes
9/15/2011: Bike 30 min
9/16/2011: Swim 180 min

Note: According the the instruction link you posted the days in the file need to be consecutive. So, even if they are rest days, they need to be in the file.

My "test plan" uploaded just fine... file attached.

I hope this helps!

Also, it's a bit weird to have two periods in a file name... it may or may not be an issue.

Okay:

1.  You should start with the template provided with BT.  Do not change/rename/delete any of the columns provided. If they are empty, they must still be included in the upload.

2.  The first column is date.  In that column, enter the dates one row at a time and enter your s/b/r times or distances (or both) in the same row, under the column header.

Here's a sample, hope it helps.  If your plan is truly that simple, if you send it to me I will put it into the template for you.
