Subject: RE: Gross pic: HRM rash-what to do?Haley,
I had the same thing happen with a pair of gloves I used hiking (and cross country skiing ). I had the allergic reaction (which is what that rash is inmy opinion ) and could not get it to calm down until I went to the doc and he gave me some steriods. By the time it was healed I didn't need the gloves anymore.
Then on a late fall backpacking trip up north I had the gloves on and the reaction started again. That is when I decided it had to be something with the gloves. Even though I had wore them for a whole winter before the reaction started. Speculation it was a sweat / material interaction that cause the breakout.
Don't be afraid to go into the the doc if the rash doesn't calm down. I am not sure what to do about the HRM strap. You could try a new elatstic strap and see if that helps. |
