Subject: Favorite online store for tri stuff!
Hi! I live in an area that doesn't have any stores that cater to true athletes- much less triathletes. The nearest store is 1.5 hrs. away. Anyway, I am a newbie and need some good tri shorts and a top. I recently ordered some swim stuff from swimoutlet.com and I absolutely DO NOT recommend doing business with that company. Horrible experience! I looked around on Tri sports.com, but what I found wasn't available in my size (large). Any advice? Thanks!!

Well, I got some really awesome swimsuits on sale from www.speedo.com. Once you get signed up for their email list, you get awesome deals sent to you as well.

If you ever want to buy a cycling jersey... check out www.primalwear.com and go to the factory outlet store link. I get all my jerseys by checking there often. I get some really cool ones for like $25 each.

Well, FWIW, I (and my wife) have had no problems with swimoutlet.com, including customer service on returns.  I continue to order my swimwear from them.

But I'd second DeSoto (which trisports carries as well and with whom I've been happy with past servcie too).  Performance has always been good for me as well (assuming they carry what you're looking for).

I love swimoutlet, but I've never had to return something. Performance is good, but not much tri stuff. I like the Century bike shorts that I bought based on a recomendation from here, I think from the Bear.

I also had an issue with swim outlet. I use Kiefer for online swim orders. I'm sure you'll come up with all the larger online tri stores (trisports, tri-zone, nytro, all3sports, etc..) via Google, but I'll point out 2 smaller shops I've had good dealings with - Keith's Triathlon and TriBonzai.

I have to give a thumbs up to TYR online. I bought a trisuit on sale, and tried it on for size and thought it was fine. About 6 weeks later I put it on again to try out on a bike ride. After wearing it for a few minutes, I realized that the top of the zipper was VERY irritating because of where it was pressing agaist my chest. I sent it back and they gave me a full refund despite the fact that it had been on sale and was past the time for returns. While I didn't like the way the trisuit fit me, I love their jammers, and will continue to buy from them after this good experience.

I have done well on Nashbar.com for bike stuff mostley.  They have some tri stuff too.

I have also bought from Trisports.com, and promotion wetsuits online.

Try Sierra trading post.  The tri suit I bought last year (and I love!) for full price is now 1/2 off.  Its a Zoot which is really nice imo.   The Speedo Endurance suit there is a great suit too.

I shop around a lot on-line.  I like Sports Basement.  They have some good close-outs.  Also, I've been using Nashbar for years...even before there was internet shopping.  No swimming stuff but they have great prices for bike gear.
