Subject: Question for the Females
Any one else out there blessed or cursed w/ large breasts in the group? I'm just getting into triathalons & am cursed w/ a heavy top. I am looking for the best Sports bra or compression gear for both training & the actually triathalons. I ususally use the strongest Champion makes, but sometimes still isn't strong enough. I know it affects how I train, so any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I have the opposite situation but was looking at the Title Nine catalog yesterday and they have the stuff to address this. Check them out on the web too.

Here's a great bra. Your stuff ain't going NOWHERE with this around your chest!!

I run in the ones with the clasp in the back....never tried the zipper version.

Good luck.

I started doubling up on my Champion bras. I'm going to try the Moving Comfort and CW-X but in the meantime, I'm finding that 2 Champions are doing the trick. Also, I experimented with wearing one of my normal bras under a Champion jog bra and that works very well, too.

Oh, and see the thread mentioned above.

Moving Comfort Fiona bra comes in D and DD up to 40 or maybe 42 or 44...really works well for me.

THanks for the input, guess I missed the previous thread. Still getting used to this site. It's good to know I'm not the only one out there with this problem.

I'll second the moving comfort fiona. I've worn it in all of my tris and it dries out pretty well after the swim. I'm planning to try one of the CW-X ones, too, just so I can try a bra that goes with the cuter tops that have the narrower backs.

I also use the Moving Comfort Fiona bra. I still keep some cheaper sports bras for bike-only work-outs.

There are quite a few of us with the big boobage...gotta try different stuff to see what works for you, but I'm with KathyG (as always on this one) and vote Moving Comfort Fiona.  I wear a 38D...passed the bounce test...

Wore a champion that clasped in the back for many yeards of horseback and teaching aerobics... GREAT!!!

Recently bought a fiona last year (the champions got hard to find) and LOVE it just as much.

But being a newbie as well... clarify...  y'all are just wearing the bra under the tri top and it doesn't bother you?  I'm worried about a wet bra causing massive chaffing underneath the breast.

Most sports bras (Fiona included) dry just as quickly as the tri top does.  I have yet to have a chafing issue with my bras after a swim, and I regularly wear my trisuit/bra combo for OWS.

With regards to chaffing...lots of body glide or sport guard or your lube of choice. I've never had a problem with the Fiona though. It has a wider band around the bottom, which may help keep it from moving much. I LOOOOOVE the Fiona!!!

I was bothered at first by the straps that go straight down in the back since it gives some funky tanlines when worn with tops that are narrower in the back. But then I decided that since I don't ever look at my back, why should I care. ;-)

i don't have "much" in that area, but my c9 bra worked well enough to make me wonder where the "girls" went...flattened me right out...

I have been using the Champion & the Moving comfort too! Those have been working ok, just trying to see if anything was better. I ordered a couple of the CX-W... they seem to work ok, but they do give the uniboob effect which sucks. It's makes them look bigger than they are - I'm already a 38DD or 38DDD depending on the bra. The zip front is a little different that what I'm used to , but what the heck I'm all about trying new things now. THat's what has brought me here. THanks for the help.

I love Moving Comfort! I even wear them under my swimsuit and they still support after being thoroughly soaked.

I have the opposite problem, but I can't say enough good things about Moving Comfort bras.  I have two of them and love them!  I think they really understand what women want from a sports bra.

I always pipe in on the Goddess bra for its ability to support my girls (pretty high up in the alphabet), dries fast, has adjustable shoulders and front....however, I do find that on my long runs I am more comfortable with a tri top over the top of it, too.  Hopefully I will be shrinking, even a little bit, since I have finally weaned my 2 1/2 year old!  I saw this today in a catalog and am considering it, as it combines what I like about wearing my goddess + tri top, and it claims #3 (highest) support up to DDD.  Women's RRS New Powertek Long Bra C-DDD:

So, ladies, what do you wear during the actual race. I know people who can race in tri tops or suits...that ain't gonna work for me.

Do I put on my sports bras under my wetsuit? then put something on over it in t1?

I just do not get the logistics.

Where what you will for whole race under your wetsuit. No adding clothes on wet bodies in transtion just takes to long and is hard.

Why not a sports bra covered by tri top? I wore tight fitting bike jersey over my sports bra my first year.

Have fun!
