Sunny
Total Time = 38m 57s
Overall Rank = /
Age Group = f25-29
Age Group Rank = 0/
Pre-race routine:

Had some cereal and found some clothes to wear.
Event warmup:

Met up w/ pmiller240 (it was her first 5k!), one of my mentees. Did some easy stretches.
Run
  • 38m 57s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 12m 31s  min/mile
Comments:

Started out and just kept a relatively constant pace. Trisha and I stayed together the entire time (though she managed to finish before me by a couple seconds). It was nice to have someone to pace off of and keep company with. Cranked it up towards the end to sprint to the finish (she had more in her tank then I did...)
What would you do differently?:

I do need to run more, but I'm happy because this is another PR (about 50 seconds)
Post race
Warm down:

Walked a little bit, then turned to go the other way when we found out they had bagels..

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My own run training.

Event comments:

I won a long sleeve t-shirt for a race I didn't participate in...heh!

Very nice race PJ

Sounds like you had a nice race running with your friend. (Shared racing experiences are always fun)

Seems like every time you do another one of these races, you bag another PB Time. You just keep chipping large blocks of time at a distance that normally yields a few seconds at a time.

Gonna be fun to watch

Hey gurl.  Nice run.  You continue to keep knocking time off your race.  Nice improvements.  Pretty soon, that time will be sub 30:00!  Keep it up!
