Anybody play disc golf?

I did, but had to quit smoking weed when I started the triathlon thing.

HA! There is a fair amount of that going on at some of the courses out there. I don't mind having a few beers while playing, but I'll pass on the weed.

I used to be pretty good.  Thought about turning pro in the 90's.  Hardly ever play anymore. 

Used to, and much like Jim it was in my more recreational/experimental days.  College in other words.

I do.  Nice way to pass a sunny afternoon.  Sans the weed. 

Isn't there a one shot per hole penalty if you don't smoke?

Oh... love disc golf.... never that good, but always had fun.  Haven't got to play much since I started tri training...  Never did try it with weed... or even beer???

I did a bit in college.  No comment on any "aid station" amenities.

I have wanted to try and have been invited but had heard the weed rumors and with the guy who invited me I would not be surprised so I just passed. 

Very much a recreational disc golfer....but I suck.

partly the reason I cut back. as my oldest child (12) now wants to do everything I do include training she started asking what that "funky" smell was. got to love explaining that in the woods searching for you disc.

My husband plays and always wants me to come out and play a round with him. there are a ton of courses around here. but i hate it. HATE. i cannot throw a frisbee or a disc. i find it incredibly boring. but he loves it.

we have an agreement that he will stop bugging me to play DG w him and i will never ask him to consider doing a triathlon. he'll stick to being a runner and playing some DG now and then...

maybe i'll suck at that golf too...

i like it. have not been in a while but it is a good way to pass some time.
